Net Zero advocates propose ticks to induce red meat allergy as climate solution

This has made me want to have a nice juicy Porterhouse steak.

So I will.

No I don't mean you can decide to have a side of tide pods with that. I like Oreo ice-cream I know it has no nutritional value and is not to required for me to exist and that it's production has a negative impact on the environment. I don't care, it taste good and makes me happy. So does steak... and whiskey.

Sure, but dispelling myths about red meat may help people make healthier changes in their lives, just saying.

And if those bioethicists could do something with wet markets around the world that spread disease, I'd say 'go for it'.

I had sirloin tip steak twice this week, chicken twice, along with the usual bacon and breakfast sausage. I would be eating fresh fish if I used my fishing license, but the toxin advisories makes me reconsider what fish and where I caught it.

Of course, cow farts are way more important than environmental toxins produced by the science of chemistry, endorsed by both government and industry. So let's keep harping on the Moo-Moos, and the wet markets too while we're at it.

I see that we have already covered the following issues that have nothing to do with the ethical treatment of humans or what logic could consider this a moral proposal.
  • Anthropogenic global warming
  • Unethical treatment of animals
  • Ecological stresses from agriculture
  • Human health regarding meat consumption
  • Sanitary conditions at wet-markets
Hopefully we run out of off-topic comments soon, as the actual topic is sliding off into the black hole.

ETA: You know something? That list looks just like some liberal playbook responses! When are we going to bring up race, sex and political issues?

There are already methane inhibitor feeds available.

Sure but I'm not convinced your source isn't just spreading myths to discourage consumption of red meat. I try to eat poultry 70% of the week and on the weekend some pork because chicken is to lean for me to solely survive on, but at least once a month we pony up for some beef. I wish animal farming was better I don't like to see the genetic modified stack on top of each other cesspits some of these farms operate. Maybe AI can help us achieve some compromise that allows everyone to win.

I only have 2 questions for these folks -

# 1 - What has their diet been over the last 12 months ? How much red meat have they consumed ?

# 2 - If this is such a good idea, have they let the ticks bite them and their family and if not, when can we set an appointment for that ?

I find it somewhat disappointing that the off topic comments have only caused this thread to slide to page five. I was kind of curious what new rhetoric would pop-up having gone through a half dozen off topic comments so far.

I have been waiting to see if anyone could come up with a comment that actually involved the academic study of ethics and morality. Obviously, that isn't happening unless I go there, however, I could stand for a few more lessons on liberal trolling methods like the slide using off topic comments.

I've noticed that emotionally charged subjects consisting of liberal talking points having some small connection to the topic are used to deflect from the original subject of the thread. Also, ignoring almost everything presented in the original posts, like your reading comprehension was nearly zero, is another technique to use in combination with the others. Another good idea is to never agree in the slightest with any point made in the original post as this will shut down any more deflections that could be employed.

I'm learning, I'll have it down eventually.

Naw. I heard it from your Mama during some pillow talk.

Note the use of the Ad Hominen attack to divert from the question, another technique.

ETA: I love the use of liberal political bias to bait me into a political discussion about Donald Trump, very slick.
