Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder

And from the news I read, they did not require an apology as a condition for his return.

I am sure his legal team is advising him on what to double down on at this time.

If he wouldn’t have doubled down on misinformation.  That dumb discussion made it better for the company to let him go and payout his contract than keep opening the company up to lawsuits.

So if he could go back if he decided to then he wasn't fired  Spin
And you need to do a little more reading, everything I've seen said an apology was asked for and he refused.

I'm sure you are drooling at the fantasy of Kimmel going back on the air and telling more left wing lies ... However a business decision by Disney to suspend a show that is tanking and losing 60 markets in one day is just that .. A business decision, made in the interest of the shareholders .. and it's perfectly legal.

Keep drooling over the fantasy.   Maybe it'll short out your keyboard and make life less complicated for you.   Lol

If Kimmel had a leg to stand on, and was going to hurt the investors, Disney and ABC would apologize and take Kimmel back.  The fact they said see ya to Kimmel probably at the advice of their legal team speaks volumes.  Especially if two major affiliates were refusing to air the episodes.  And Kimmel doubled down on misinformation.

Objective reality doesn't matter to these people. Only thing to do is not feed the trolls.

They violated his freedom of speech, maybe his contract, maybe his artistic freedom...it will all come out.

He was indefinitely suspended, that's legal talk for constructive dismissal or involuntary termination.

What would you think if your boss said you are suspended and gave you no time period regarding the suspension?

At my place of employment we are not allowed to show any political affiliation.  If we do, we can be fired.  I understand this and don't.  If I did, I could not then come back tomorrow and whine that I had been fired.  I know what my contract contains and act accordingly.  Don't be a Jimmy  Smug

You never quite explain that.  As an employee, where his employer pays for his show which is regulated by the FCC and had an obligation to protect investors.  How is Kimmel’s doubling down on misinformation and Kimmel’s getting fired because he was going to double down on misinformation causing affiliates to jump ship violating his freedom speech when he is more than allowed to make his case “the shooter was one of the MAGA gang” but hasn’t.
