He was indefinitely suspended, that's legal talk for constructive dismissal or involuntary termination.

What would you think if your boss said you are suspended and gave you no time period regarding the suspension?

You never quite explain that.  As an employee, where his employer pays for his show which is regulated by the FCC and had an obligation to protect investors.  How is Kimmel’s doubling down on misinformation and Kimmel’s getting fired because he was going to double down on misinformation causing affiliates to jump ship violating his freedom speech when he is more than allowed to make his case “the shooter was one of the MAGA gang” but hasn’t.

I don’t think that’s a good comparison.

Carlson was an anchor on a news network, whereas Kimmel claims to be a comedian. Those are baked in lies too, because there is no credible cable news network, and Kimmel isn’t funny.

But if the context is someone is joking, I don’t think it’s necessary to hold them to journalistic standards.

Again, Kimmel being wrong doesn’t make it the biggest lie in the media landscape in recent history. Not anywhere close.

If you really wanted to split hairs, you could say that he was MAGA in the sense he was raised in a conservative state by a conservative family. That said, I don’t understand why every tragedy, there is a race to assign what two groups a person was in. For one, there are more independent and third party than there are Democrat or Republican. And two, there are psychos in every ideology. I don’t think an ideology has to own the actions of everyone who claims to be part of it, or the ideology society assigned that person after a tragedy.

What will ever be accomplished by the debate over which side has more political violence? Something that benefits society, or something that gives more power to abuse to those in office? I think there’s only one answer there.

I don't think comparing Conservatives or Charlie Kirk to Nazis is good either, but you see how that turned out.

The Left has been pushing and pushing and pushing for years and now that the backlash is happening, they are doing their usual thing which is crying victim.
