You never quite explain that.  As an employee, where his employer pays for his show which is regulated by the FCC and had an obligation to protect investors.  How is Kimmel’s doubling down on misinformation and Kimmel’s getting fired because he was going to double down on misinformation causing affiliates to jump ship violating his freedom speech when he is more than allowed to make his case “the shooter was one of the MAGA gang” but hasn’t.

At my place of employment we are not allowed to show any political affiliation.  If we do, we can be fired.  I understand this and don't.  If I did, I could not then come back tomorrow and whine that I had been fired.  I know what my contract contains and act accordingly.  Don't be a Jimmy

The company that pays his salary determined he was a financial liability and that he wasn't performing up to their standards.   So they suspended him.   Looks like suspended with pay because of the contract.   Disney has the right to shit-can anyone who is a financial liability and who isn't performing to their standards.    You can't force a company to keep someone employed who is a liability.

There are RUMORS of talks, but there is no announcement that he was asked back.    You are daydreaming if you think DISNEY and ABC are shitting bricks.   That's ridiculous.     A boycott of Disney wouldn't hurt them at all and a lawsuit by Kimmel would go nowhere.   Disney has the right to take anyone off the air that they deem is a liability, as long as they pay the contract.   And the reason the shows crew are receiving pay is because there is a contract to do so, it has nothing to do with so called 'damage control'.
