Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder
Sarah McLachlan and Jewel both cancel their Disney premiere performances to support ‘free speech’ after Jimmy Kimmel suspension.

LoL

They’re eating their own again.

LIke I said ... doesn't matter if it's labeled 'entertainment' or 'sitcom' or 'news' or 'movie' or 'comedy', etc ...

HE LIED.   And he was going to double down on the lie the next night.

Couple that with the fact that his show is TANKING ... FAILING .... and after the lie 60  markets took him off the air all on their own .... Disney made a business decision and pulled the plug.   As is their right, and as is their duty to their shareholders to make good business decisions.

This is plain and simple, they wanted that big time merger to go through, so had to kiss the ring.

What execs?  When the show doesn’t even average 150,000 viewers a night.  Has a staff of something like 200. Losing ratings.  By all accounts losing money.  Supposedly not even a year on Kimmel’s contact.

Sounds like the affiliates refusing to air Kimmel’s misinformation protected investors from lawsuits and gave ABC the perfect reason to cut a bad show with little headache.  Evidently firing Kimmel is protecting investors and the company more than keeping Kimmel.

They didn't.

RUMORS are that he was going to be allowed back to finish his couple of months of contract if he apologized for the lies.  (Disney has to pay for those seven of months anyways).   But he's doubling down on 'partisan stupid' so he won't be back to finish his contract.   (so far).

The fact remains he could have gone back if he decided.

And from the news I read, they did not require an apology as a condition for his return.

I am sure his legal team is advising him on what to double down on at this time.

Expires May 1, 2026.   7 months.
Disney would have to pay it anyways.

Where Kimmel is still allowed on his own time and dime to prove “the shooter was one of the MAGA gang.”  Funny he was all about misinformation when he thought his employer would provide lawyers.  Funny Kimmel is quiet now it’s his dime.

Your left wing sources don't talk about an apology being required.
My sources ... which are not left or right ... say an apology was required.
And all that is not 'news' ... it's RUMORS.

Kimmel's legal team will delve into what needs to be proven, so buckle up and not so funny.
