Isreal launches strikes on Iran

Yeah know where you are coming from there. Maybe like Zaph said just relentless bombing of the Fordow facility will dig out the issue.

There is always the idea of colonising the entire region too. Not suggesting that little old Israel can take and keep under its control an area something like the Empire of Ghenkhiz Khan, but if the western powers get together and do a new 'Congress of Berlin' and split up the world between them then maybe the spread of nukes can be prevented. This Iranian thing will need doing again and again down the line. Non G8 nations will increasingly want nukes and they will need dealing wit in a similar manner. We might as well get a plan ready for dealing with new Iran's and a common stance by the G8 along with complete understanding of sphere of influences will be vital.

I was pondering a 'what if' today.

What if IRAN had enough enriched uranium for a bomb, just not the technical ability to build one.
What if CHINA stepped in, built the bomb for IRAN using IRANIAN uranium on the condition the bomb remained in CHINA.
What if the caveat, was that CHINA would only deliver the bomb to IRAN if they were ever at risk of being wiped out by ISRAEL.

Does Iran have their own 'Samson' plan?

"Israel Katz says Iran's supreme leader 'can no longer be allowed to exist'Israel’s defence minister said on Thursday that Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “can no longer be allowed to exist” after Soroka hospital in southern Israel was hit during an Iranian missile attack, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reports.
Israel Katz told journalists in Holon near Tel Aviv:
Quote:Khamenei openly declares that he wants Israel destroyed – he personally gives the order to fire on hospitals. He considers the destruction of the state of Israel to be a goal,
Such a man can no longer be allowed to exist."

I wouldn't be surprised if Israel hit it themselves just to give them a pity-us excuse for hitting harder at Iran. They have absolutely no problem at all bombing hospitals and lying about it.

Quote:The Israeli hospital, the Soroka Medical Center in the city of Beersheba, said it had sustained widespread damage and asked people to stay away. The hospital said the building that was hit had been largely evacuated in recent days, and that it was treating several patients with mild injuries. It is the first Israeli hospital to be hit directly since the war with Iran began last Friday, the Israeli military said.

"Largely evacuated". Huh.

Yeah know where you are coming from, though I'd lean towards it being a real attack from Iran yet allowed to hit the hospital, yes. It certainly helps Israeli planning at this time in getting Trump to give the thumbs up. Was thinking similar about the 1 in 10 missiles that are hitting Tel Aviv by getting through the Israeli defences. Makes one wonder if they are letting a few through to get Trump's attention and get the B2 airborne.

Read about China being absolutely obsessed with fending off US taking control of the Iranian economy through the back door. If the US takes Iran under their umbrella then that gives them massive control over China's oil imports. China can be strangled energy wise if trump and Vlad pal up even more than right now and use their oil industry against China. A bit like what the West did to Japan pre WW2. China's energy needs can be cut off if the US takes Iran into their 'fold' and Vlad joins in Trump's economic games of leverage. Maybe the Chinese will go all the way and hand in hand with the Iranian's regarding the nuke support. It might be considered national survival and independence for the Chinese to secure Iran into their fold.
Well, so much for Iran being semi-under control, hearing so much chatter Iran's down to "100 missile launchers" or "a revolt is imminent". It doesn't matter if they can hit like they did last night, a half dozen more times. Israel will either negotiate or finish off Iran, considering the stock exchange took a hit. I'd imagine the war just took an ominous turn. It's not unexpected when one side gets desperate. Im thinking China and or Russia is directly involved, Iran's drones helped Russia immensely earlier, I can't see Russia not assisting here

Natural progression if a conflict burns at a high temperature for too long, or you back a still dangerous opponent into a corner

and yeah groggy morning first thought finding out they hit Israel's stock exchange, was they have done it now, I might need to dig out the bug out bag from the garage

All is fair in love and war, and sometimes one does indeed reap what they sow...

Well, irony can be pretty ironic. It doesn't matter if it's false Iranian GP will never know

Getting increasingly messy in the eastern Mediterranean right now. Hezbollah is possibly going to plunge the Lebanon people into this conflict. Maybe it's inevitable if the Iranian's give them the green light to attack northen Israel ..............................................

"The US special envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, on Thursday warned Lebanese group Hezbollah against getting involved in the war between its main backer Iran and Israel, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reports.Barrack, who is also the US ambassador to Turkey, is on his first visit to Beirut, where he met top Lebanese officials including parliament speaker Nabih Berri, an ally of Hezbollah.
“I can say on behalf of President (Donald) Trump … that would be a very, very, very bad decision,” Barrack said after his meeting with Berri, responding to a question on what the US position would be on any involvement by Lebanese armed group Hezbollah in the war.
The group condemned Israel’s strikes on Iran when the conflict erupted on Friday, but did not announce its intention to intervene in support of Tehran.
Hezbollah suffered devastating losses in its war against Israel last year, which ended with a ceasefire agreement in November.
Despite the ongoing ceasefire, Israel has repeatedly attacked Lebanon, saying it would continue to strike the country until Hezbollah was disarmed.
An Israeli strike on Kfar Juz, south Lebanon, killed two people on Wednesday, while another strike injured one person in Barish, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
Israel said it killed two Hezbollah members in its attacks." https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2...ab30659a3d
