The Ukrainians say otherwise.

No such thing  as Ukrainians, they are slavs who fled there after 1945. Russian is the true ethnicity, like my grandmother who was born there.

If enough people decide to call themselves a thing, they are a thing... that much is proven in historical reality, and in the transient microcosm of the societies in general.

Ethnicity is only part of what some people claim to be... the degree of it's pertinence is always debated.

Are we to erase Ukrainians because it displeases those of Russian 'ethnicity?'  Is that kind of 'national' bias not doomed?  Disregarding ideologies, and even religions... does the hate put food on our tables?  It does for some people.... guess who?

Not sure I believe this but if true 18,400 Russian troops were killed in 6 hours by Ukrainian A.I. directing the attack.

That's like saying there is no such thing as an American because most people here have immigrant ancestors.  

The Ukrainians live in Ukraine and call themselves Ukrainian.   Where their ancestors came from is irrelevant.  They are a sovereign nation as recognized by the world body and themselves.  And they obviously want no part of Russia.

Myopia is the problem here. "Americas" and US Citizens are two different things, as you know. Would you allow anyone to call themself American just beacause they feel that way?.

Hatians are "Americans", would you want them to "ethnically cleanse" the US of people they deem less "American" as them?

Americans are American citizens because they are legally that way and they identify as such ... both.   Ukrainians are Ukrainians because they are legally that way and they identify as such ... both.   They are not Russians.   Some of their ancestors may have been Russian, but they have rejected Russia and have formed their own country which the world body accepts.

Again ... by your standard there are no Americans because most Americans have ancestors who came from other countries.    Your standard doesn't work.
