When was the last time Marines were deployed in America?

Is this even the worst riot of the last 10 years? No, so why would this be the first time in over 50 years we deployed National Guard against a Governors wishes, with added marines no less.

Normalizing this type of decision making from a president just opens the door for more of it in the future, by every president, left or right. I remember the right used to talk about state rights, and limiting federal power. I remember the right talking about Obama prepping to use Walmarts as military holding places.

An Army General said today that they could carry out arrests too, even though the Insurrection Act hasn't been invoked. It's incredible to watch people suddenly celebrate actions like this just because it's against their opponents.

We should have deployed them the last time the cities burned and imprisoned their leaders for allowing it to happen on their watch and not activating the guard to put it down.

Because I don't believe what I want to believe like you do. I want to see the court transcripts of the detainees who rat out the NGOs. Where are previous court transcripts of hired rioters that ratted out the NGOs, are you telling me there is not even 1...ever?

I remember after 2001 when everyone was saying we had to give federal government more power to protect us against terrorism.

It's a shame citizens are so willing to falter to fear to allow the federal government power to expand. Something happens to .00001% of citizens, and all of a sudden we all have to allow this to happen.

I'm not sure the constitution will survive democrats and republicans constantly riling up their bases to go against it.
