Those who are in the know, tell me what happened:
I lost my beloved remote for my IPTV. I remembered where I last used it. My Bride and me looked all around the area. We pulled out furniture, we opened drawers. This is somewhat of a big deal for us, because we like to watch Rugby and American Football in the living room. I laid flat on the floor and shined a light under all furniture.
Day two: Still no remote. NOT panicking, but really freaking out that I cannot find this device.
Day three: In the early morning, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw a slender woman in a long dress walk into the scene. She pointed casually toward the couch and said, "what was that noise? Did something fall?" Then she turned and walked out (our front door) which in the dream became a long hallway, her high heels clicking. As she turned at the end, she said, "Ta. You'll find it. In the dream, I asked my Darlin', "who was that??" She said "Mimi Van Dorren. "
I awoke and went to the computer area and again got on my hands and knees and looked under things. No dice. I remembered the dream, pointing toward the couch, which we both had searched the depths of the cushions to no avail. I had looked behind the couch. I kept a long box of vinyl masking for which I am adorning my car. I'd already moved the box, but now I looked inside the open edge of the box, and there was my remote.
When my Bride got up I asked her, "have you ever heard of Mimi Van Dorren"? She said "Her name sounds familiar, but I don't know who she is." I looked her up. Imagine my joy to know that Maimi Van Dorren is still alive and well at 94! I didn't like the idea that her last effort on Earth was to find my @#%@# % remote!!! I am now seeking a way to contact Ms. Van Dorren and share my quirky story.
So, is this ESP, or just my subconscious filling in the blanks? Why Maimi Van Dorren? I haven't thought about her in ages. The world is strange and wonderful.
