I'm back, upgraded my computer and like an idiot forgot to make a backup of my book marks. So I had a hard time finding the forum again. Now that I'm here again, I'd like your opinion on something.
About two years ago, I was in my bedroom / home office. I was sitting at the end of my bed with my computer desk to the left of me. I'm sitting there in the dark just going through a mental checklist for tomorrow. Then all of a sudden, I glimpse something from the corner of my eye. Two small, white "pinpricks" I liken to two small white eyes by my monitor. (Computer / monitor was off)
I turn to look, I see them for about 1-2 seconds before it felt like "they noticed me" and actually made a dash towards me. I actually reacted and ducked as it felt like they were going to run into me. At the time, I didn't think much of it. But for the past couple of weeks it's popped in my head and has caused me to wonder what exactly this was.
At the time, I didn't feel frightened or threatened in any way.
My family for at least four generations have been experiencing more than our fair share in the paranormal. Thankfully I've been spared the majority, and the few things I have seen were more interesting than actually scary.
I'd appreciate any input on this. :)
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

I get visual disturbances as part of the 'aura' in the early stages of migraines.
I have even fully hallucinated when suffering from particularly bad migraines.
I can identify the migraines by the pain and also a feeling of impending doom and nausea, but I have also had similar visual disturbances without one or more of the other symptoms at times.
Perhaps what you were experiencing was a transitory neural condition., a neural blip or storm that only occurs very infrequently, or it may never recur.
If it is a 'one off' event, then I wouldn't assume that there is anything 'real' or threatening behind it.

Apprently in low light, our tired brains can mistake shadows or reflections(even eye floaters) as moving figures, especially during quiet moments.
Might just have been your melon misfiring.
Or it may have been something else...
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

It may have been a moth of some species flying at you or the light of your computer. Most moths have reflective eye shine from their compound eyes.

Is this the first time you have experienced this in this room? Have you tried recreating the scenario? Are cars driving by able to reflect their headlights off of anything in the room? Have you placed any new objects in the room? Sorry, I am just trying to give you some possibilities based on what you have given us so far.

Not to sound dismissive, but I do not have migraines. (They sound horrible, sorry you have to deal with those.) It wasn't late, either. Around 9pm. Was going to "force" myself to sleep as I had to get up at 4am. (I ended up sleeping two hours that night )
As for cars, not really. My room (in the back) faces an open lot that stretches for about half a mile and at the end of this lot there are plenty of trees. As for a moth, highly unlikely as it was winter and I don't tend to see many of them around. Then again, it happened inside so it's possible one came in to over-winter in the warmth. But I've not found any signs of a moth.
Of course, I'm not saying it's 100% paranormal but I'm having a hard time debunking this. I have since rearranged my room to give it a more natural flow. But I haven't seen them before, or after. My room has remained the same, even today. I don't even have pictures on the wall. I like it minimalist.
Thanks for your input.
Here's an example of what I saw. (Excuse the poor photoshop lol)

I have little in the way of knowledge in the ways this kind of manifestation can occur.
Of course, many will offer the most frequently associated physiological reason which might be (at least potentially) a non-paranormal... after all, it wouldn't be called that if it were 'normal.'
What many call "migraines" come in as many varieties (often minor) as one might possibly imagine... they manifest as or with pain, lights, sounds, irritating and distracting sensations, pressure... sometimes those things aren't even acknowledged as 'migraine' until the experiencer suffers repeats...and patterns can be discerned.
My first question would be if you are certain you were seeing the light pinpricks with both your eyes... did it seem a "solid' object or was it somehow radiant enough to discern it as a light , or a reflection? Have you experienced the same kind of event before or since... that sort of thing...
On the paranormal side... again, I'm no expert, but whatever you experienced requires some more speculation than I can get into right now... It could be many things, and there are many frameworks which embrace many different perspectives... especially within the subject matter.
But thank you for sharing your experience... And I hope your not discouraged by people offering solutions and ideas about and around "normal" explanations... this was your experience... I hope you find the explanation that satisfies you... you are the witness.

No, I'm a skeptic first so I appreciate a level headed approach. As for the migraines, I'm aware of how debilitating they can be. My sister suffers from some serious migraines that leave her in a fetal position in bed.
Again, I have no migraines. Never have, only the rare headache thankfully.
To further elaborate, I personally feel they were self illuminated. When they "swooped" towards me, they left a little line behind them as I tried to illustrate in the picture above.
And yes, I did see them with both eyes as my head was facing "them". You know how you catch something from your peripheral vision then instinctively turn your head? I looked at them dead on for about a second before "they reacted" and flew in my direction like "they noticed" I noticed.
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....
