To do or perform habitually or customarily; make a habit of. E.g. "practices courtesy in social situations."
or: To do or perform (something) repeatedly in order to acquire or polish a skill. E.g. "practice a dance step."

one implies still learning, the other implies already learned.

it is weird.

Ask any true master of something and they will tell you they must practice because A if you don’t use it you lose it and B. There is always room for improvement, perfection ever recedes just out of reach.

”for all intents and purposes this is the only reality”

:) Which reality would that be? The one you perceive or the one another perceives?
or the objective or the subjective? The inner or the outer? The human construct, or natures ebb and flow?

You're assuming these are competing realities.

They probably bleed into one another.

I mean we could debate what's really real forever.

The kicker is that life keeps moving forward anyway.  Saint2

Seems kind of cyclical actually.

To nudge back to topic, an interesting though: if life or experience is partially cyclical, perhaps "ESP" in the form of prognostication is a manifestation of resonance between various iterations of this cyclicity? Like, future similarities to the past create a bridge that can be sensed in the present? It's all very woo-woo, I know...

I suppose time might be a river of sorts that runs circularly.

We are simply along for the ride.

Be the River.

Slip quietly through nature until it is time to flood!

Wisdom knocks quietly, always listen carefully.... and be a River flowing calmly.

Ahh the river! From where does it come from and to where does it go? The mountain top you say is its source and it journeys to the sea. Ah ha yes, but if so why is it yet here, caught in the present just as you and me?

ESP or Extra Sensory Perception, as with regular perception of the regular senses it is limited by the perceiver. Is a glass half full or half empty? What is a thing called that has no name? What is insight? How can sounds not heard touch? What instrument measures the things of world if not the mind? What is mind?

That 'thing' has a name and everybody wants it. It hides behind a big wall and it's called more!

Well everybody except me that is. I'm of the opinion that more is less and people are nuts.
