Did you know you have Neanderthal DNA?
#1
Most people don't associate modern humans with Neanderthals in any way. However, most modern humans with either European or East Asian heritage have a small percentage of Neanderthal DNA. This DNA normally comprises approximately 1 to 3 % of an individuals Genome. The only modern human population that has no Neanderthal DNA are African populations this because Neanderthals did not evolve on the African continent. Currently it is unknown what the effects on Neanderthal DNA has on those individuals with it.

Myself, I have 3% Neanderthal DNA. I found this out approximately 15 years ago when I had my DNA tested. I often wonder what traits this may have given me concerning my physical characteristics and my health. I think this can be a very interesting topic for discussion please add to thoughts on the subject. The link below has additional information on the subject and a 2 minute video please watch it the information may surprise you.

I would enjoy a discussion on this subject and to hear everyones take on this situation.

It's true, they bread with us at some point. I used to date a Scottish (male line) red head girl  in the 80's 90's she was strong like an ox. It's like a different bone structure. I read somewhere that lots of the Higlander type has this in them the Neandertal, much more than other population

Neanderthals were a distinct species of ancient human (Homo neanderthalensis) rather than 100% Homo sapiens. While they are our closest extinct relatives and shared a common ancestor, they possessed distinct physical and genetic differences. However, they were still highly intelligent, utilized complex tools, and frequently interbred with modern humans.

I never heard that before, however, it could certainly be true because I am no expert on the subject. At, this point I don't think enough research has been done on this subject, hopefully more is done in the future.

Nah, that’s not true, at best speculation.
DNA is in ours, we are the same, obviously, or we couldn’t breed with them

There are animals with parents from different species, like mules and ligers, for example, so being able to breed is not a guarantee of being of the same species.

Animals from different species can breed like you said. But in the case of Mules and Ligers they both are born sterile as a result of being different species.

That's, certainly not true just because to species can breed doesn't mean they are genetically the same.
