Can't remember who said it but always liked the quote 'Brutal honesty is better than gentle deception'.

I agree with that quote entirely, but believe me I’ve tried to wake people up as it were. The shear vitriol and hate towards me as a response was shocking!
This includes anonymous online strangers and real friends and family. What’s that saying about don’t kill the messenger? Nobody appears to have heard it!

What I was trying to say is I’ve found it better to drop little nuggets that get people thinking at least and that they can easily verify without online fact checkers telling them it’s BS.

So much effort goes into stamping out “misinformation” and using conspiracy as a slur term, that  they must really fear the public at large catching on to basically their crimes.

So you and others are very much on the right track and have done a noble job of compiling and sharing the information. In my lifetime I have noticed more people are aware of what’s really going than ever were before. Surely a good thing if people can be sensible about what they do with that knowledge.

But for those caught up in the MSM propaganda, you need to wrap up your truth bomb as a gift of special knowledge only they deserve to be privy to. Or whatever works to overcome the psychology that makes them reject it outright otherwise.

Yes do see where you are coming from mate and appreciate the post - this kind of began as a research thread then just blossomed due to numerous examples lol.

Regarding corporate media conditioning it looks like an increasingly small percentage of US citizens are actually buying the snakeoil anymore (about 30%) and wasn't surprised to see the UK media come last in trust out of 28 countries.

Did see this quote from Einstein back in 1949 and looks like he got it spot on.

there is reason it is called truth bomb and because bombs arent nice things to drop on people even though you think they would be thankful for truth or at least for more info for their consideration that is not the case and people will react very defensively even hostile which is quite interesting and surprising the first few times it happens but then you realize that it is something profound because it shows exactly how indoctrinated and even hypnotized people are and that its not just a little bit it goes very very deep and there is conditioning that people simply must live in the mental comfort bubble they require that hides much truth from them and society has made learned helplessness that requires trust in its institutions and whether that is deliberate is a moot point because in practice it is a fact. why do their eyes hurt well it is because they have never used them before to paraphrase movie and they will squint as they are used to the darkness or like someone who has never used their legs the muscles have atrophied it is similar as the ability to decide ones self in whom to trust or be critical of is a learned skill that it is in the interest of powerful and advertisers et cetera that people do not develop. so there is the phenomena of wokerape where you try to force uncomfortable truths down the throat of someone who isnt seeking them and while it might seem like a good thing to do to spread the truth it is really a violation as everyone is entitled to their illusions after all every one has them at some level and the best approach is to instead provide an environment or outlet that encourages or enables people seeking truth on their own rather than forcing on them as it were because after all if the idea is to wake people up that they shouldnt trust authority blindly it is silly to assume they should do that by listening and trusting some conspiracy theorist since that is the exact opposite of intent and they should find their own way if they do. but you probably know all this.

Very interesting read mate and I'm sure we're all susceptible to cognitive bias, tribal cultism and fashionably irrational beliefs (FIBs) but thought this was a very apt vid in response to your post.

Milgram's obedience experiments get brought up as does Bonhoeffer's work where he asks the question 'what if stupidity isn’t about intelligence at all, but about surrendering the will to think?'

Suppose when an individual (or populace) surrenders the capacity for independent moral judgement then they literally become 'immune to correction'.

I suppose you think I’m being a smart ass when you state I probably know all this”
Otherwise I’m not sure why you address me in particular with your reply.
Whatever the case, if I came across as a smart ass or preachy in any way, my apologies I certainly didn’t intend that. I do know lots of things but mostly can’t recall them, and my communication skills are poor too. So more like a dumb ass. I haven’t heard of woke rape before so thanks for explaining the term.
I suppose I myself learnt not to trust authority figures from a very young age. Nobody seemed to where I grew up, but I always thought adults to be much more worldly wise than it turned out they actually are for the most part. Oh well.

Apologies I mistakenly thought Ultrabudgie's reply was to me.

Actually it was inspired by both of your discussions and randomly ranted in a non-directed manner, haha I often get my wires crossed that way, nothing specific intended.

Yes mate reckon that realization is an intrinsic part of growing up (and the older one gets it becomes more and more apparent).

Well guess this thread is in the conspiracy forum section of a conspiracy website but yes some sound advice there.

As for online 'fact checkers' also suppose folks should be made fully aware of 'cognitive infiltration' disinfo operatives (and well paid loser shills) on internet forums.

Quote:Obama confidant's spine-chilling proposal

Cass Sunstein wants the government to "cognitively infiltrate" anti-government groups

Sunstein advocates that the Government's stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into "chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups."

A prime example of human stupidity are the people who vote for the mainstream parties.

Having said that, I never vote so maybe I'm stupid in a different way.
