The phenomenon of gifted children achieving poor grades in school is not uncommon. Factors such as boredomdisorganizationtest anxiety, and under-preparation can all contribute to this situation. These issues often stem from a lack of intellectual challenge in the traditional academic environment, which may not align with the learning preferences of gifted individuals.

Moreover, high expectations and mismatched teaching styles can further hinder the academic performance of gifted students. Many gifted learners feel unmotivated in environments that do not challenge or stimulate them, leading to underperformance despite their high intelligence.

Just saying!

It is a good point, and I linked to another 'home' engineer who built rocket engines. But rightly or wrongly, how many unqualified people get invited to work at area 51 (let alone 'alien craft), and how many get above top secret clearance with a fudged/fake education?

I don't know. I'm thinking of that con artist who managed to fool most people.

"News of the crimes reaches the FBI and Carl begins tracking Frank. He finds him at a motel, but Frank tricks Carl into believing he is a Secret Service agent named Barry Allen. He escapes before Carl realizes he was fooled."

Catch Me If You Can - Wikipedia

We have to remember the times back then as it appears nobody checked deeply into finding proof of one's claims about their education. How easy would it have been to forge a diploma?

I'm just trying to look at this subject from all sides.

Man, I like UFOs, I have seen UFOs, I know abductees, I have seen a lot of stuff, but Mr. Lazar is playing. I just can't figure out for sure the whole game, but he is not this Promethean figure that is revealing the truth. But they want you to believe on that.

I'm at the point where I'm both believer and skeptic all in one, but I'll keep on plugging along until more information is available to go one way or the other.

How many records have University sealed as it become a matter of national security? With Bob breaking ranks and talking about his work, fits the profile to discredit him.

As a tin foil hat conspiracy theorist dredging through the gray zone, I like what Bob has done, paid a heavy price.

That maybe true, but to even get into places like MIT you need to write a thesis...
Quote:There is no way he would have been admitted by MIT or Caltech. An MS in Physics from MIT requires a thesis. No such thesis exists at MIT, and he is not on a commencement list. The notion that the government wiped his CIVILIAN records clean is absurd. I checked with the Legal Counsel at MIT — no way to wipe all his records clean. The Physics department never heard of him and he is not a member of the American Physical Society.

Quote:A Bachelors Degree in Physics and Electronic Technology from Pacifica University in 1978.
A Masters Degree in Physics from MIT (Thesis: Magnetohydrodynamics) in 1982.
A Masters Degree in either Electronics or Electronic Technology from CalTech in 1985.

Magnetohydrodynamics is an interesting field of science looking into new means of propulsion. To claim that the public can go look at every thesis done is absurd. Most of them are available, the good ones that do push into new levels of science and technological advantage require more need to know access. Technology does get classified.

With Bob going as far to get his name off the public registrar at these institutions, you wont find anything else there on the public record.

Otherwise, its the kind of academic record required to give reverse engineering one of these UFO's a go. Did see a presentation of his results at S4. Maybe? Does make a reasonable approach for how they work. Had put a lot of time into it, not the kind of thing one comes up with overnight to sell some books and crash his career in controversy.

Bob has never proven he went to Caltech or MIT, and he's not named at either university. Many people have tried and failed to find any information, professors or colleagues form his supposed time there.

Also his 'presentations' on how these craft fly are extremely basic, something a high school college kid could work out with a bit of imagination.

That's true and even his business, now that I have a second look, seems basic. But his explanation was basic back then because Lazar had no clue how to explain alien propulsion technology, he was just speculating.

Bob Lazar being polygraphed for over 3 hours:

"Bob Lazar passed not one but two independent lie detector tests. This is the results of his first test administered by polygraph expert Terry Tabernetti"

The video below tells of Tabernetti having his boss getting a call from a fed. agency, then after the story aired (maybe by Knapp, I'll have to check that one), there was a break-in at his home.

See what I mean? Tabernetti's boss getting a phone call from a fed. agency? Then a break-in. It's all too coincidental.

The whole story was a spiders web of lies, and half truths. Also, you can learn to pass a lie detector test, or maybe Bob believed what he was being shown, and told?!?
