Bondi misspoke the other day which led people to infer she was going after hate speech.
She has since clarified what she meant….
“Attorney General Pam Bondi tells Axios her office is not prosecuting or investigating anyone for alleged hate speech, only for speech that she says unlawfully incites violence.“

It’s worth mentioning that Bondi is undefeated so far in her Supreme Court arguments.
She does the right thing.

And the fact of the matter is that the world is so much more complicated than the right vs left mentality some people imagine to be the only colour of ths day.
Human beliefs and social problems exist on multiple levels.
They intersect in ways that defy a simple binary left-right outlook.
The fact is, people can hold views that are "left" in one domain and "right" in another, depending on context and experience.
Labels are a problem in that respect.

Thank you
Definitely does seem like she misspoke in the heat of the moment. I believe she meant to say something more along the lines of my original comment.
Let's hope that record stays intact

Who's actually from Los Angeles besides me?
Los Angeles County, is the most populous county in the United States, with 9,663,345 residents estimated in 2023. Its population is greater than that of 40 individual U.S. states. Comprising 88 incorporated cities and 101 unincorporated areas within a total area of 4,083 square miles.
There are "hot bed" areas -- just like any other place. Mostly low income poverty areas.
From the news media of the Los Angeles riots -- you woulda thought all of Los Angeles was under siege. It wasn't. It was a localized area that was contained.
Yes, it was opportunistic -- not political.

That used to be the case.
Now it’s your everyday lefty who are potential perpetrators of violence.
You can tell by the way this Charlie murder behavior is unfolding.
We’ve got doctors, lawyers, professors, teachers and every known professional openly celebrating a premeditated murder again (Mangione).
They are jeopardizing their careers because seriously callous behavior, normally not seen by the masses publicly.

Lyndon Baines Johnson enters the chat...
Quote:Gulf of Tonkin incident, complex naval event in the Gulf of Tonkin, off the coast of Vietnam, that occurred from August 2 to August 4, 1964, during the Vietnam War. It was described to the U.S. Congress on August 5, 1964, as two unprovoked attacks by North Vietnamese torpedo boats on the U.S. destroyers Maddox and Turner Joy. The Gulf of Tonkin incident led to the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which allowed President Lyndon B. Johnson to greatly escalate U.S. military involvement in the war.

Edit to add:
It's difficult to know if he was in a protected and safe cocoon with his family but then ventured out into the online world where the ideologies and political leanings of all people are there for the learning. It sure seems that he is naive and emotionally immature to do what he did alone, and I believe he did it alone because nobody online knew anything about his intentions, and Discord investigation revealed nothing.
I only say that because I was Mormon for 5 years.
It is a complete lifestyle that you live 24/7 (I'm not saying it's bad -- but it is like a protective cocoon).
You are assigned what time you go to church -- along with all your neighbors to create unity. Like being part of one big family -- rarely associating outside that family. Kind of cultish.
I loved it -- except for the religion part

Didn’t see that she had walked that one back. Good that she isn’t going down that road.
I wouldn’t call that misspeaking though, maybe speaking with emotion would be a more fair description on why she’s pivoting.

Being born and raised in LA I can agree.
What should not go unnoticed is the fact that Republican voters weren’t the ones doing the looting and burning.

From what I recall reading from various different news sources, when the daytime protesters left, some unidentified people came after them and did the looting and burning.
