My insane liberal wife was like, oh Kirk said the 2nd amendment and guns might mean more deaths, so it's ironic he was the one who died.

I turned it around. That's just a generic statement, like.... if we allow people to have cars, there will be more car deaths. So, is it ok to just run down the person who made that observation?

Seems to me your wife was making a point about irony, not moral justification. Your misinterpreting her words explains why you think she's "insane", I guess.

I also think the other element is they all find their own niche, or something to differentiate themselves.

There aren't as many measured and reasonable pundits/commentators these days. A lot of it is a contest to show buy in and conviction. Saying things that are provocative also gets free publicity and engagement. We see that all over MSM, social, and with influencers.

Its more than that and both sides finance and support lots of these podcasts, nothing wrong with it, it's how the game is played now. 

It's up to the individual to be aware... it's part of the reason Im on sites like DI.

I doubt that Kirk calling for the Epstein info release, or being in heated discussions with some donors, would have lead to this Tyler Robinson guy shooting him.   But stranger things have happened so I guess we'll see.  At this point it just looks like a 23 year old who bought into the false left wing mantra of 'MAGA is fascist', and since he was raised around guns that's what he reached for ...

He lived 3.5 hours away from the college. I am wondering how he knew the exact area on the building to shoot from. How did he know the exact set up? Did he drive there many times and scope out the college. 

I know he did go there a few years ago.

It seems like he had a blueprint. Who knows!

Sounds like the old 'blame the jews, they are everywhere' thing.
I'm more inclined to believe the more reasonable ..

thing and went and shot Kirk because of it.

Moosad can 'hit' a person and get out and not be detected.
They are the worlds greatest assassins and infiltrators. 
Whereas this shooter left a trail of breadcrumbs and doesn't fit
the moosad bill, IMHO.
