Granted both are incredible (Koepcke was strapped to a row of seats and fell from around 10000ft into the Amazon Rainforest so although incredible, you can see how she survived) and Volovic was trapped in part of the fuselage and fell some 33000ft into a forest with snow so was somewhat protected).
OK that is pretty incredible but again you can see that it was possible.

With this, I simply cannot see how he survived the fireball let alone the impact.
I actually put this as more incredible than Volovic's survival and also Koepcke's.

I am looking forward to the explanation as and when it comes.

Place crash physics are very odd to say the least. Things that you think shouldn’t survive do, and things that should don’t. It’s like looking at the damage from tornados. It’s insanely random.

Refined ADS-B position data shows the aircraft back taxied to the end of the runway and used full length on the take off.

I read somewhere that the brakes can overheat on long taxiways and therefore could account for why the landing gear stayed lowered for longer than normal... to cool them. Even though that isn't so rare and shouldn't prevent the plane's ascent.

Make of this whistleblower's account of defects and safety issues as you will.

If the 787 had serious issues and safety problems there would have been a lot more in terms of incidents and accidents than they have had to date. All aircraft have their issues.

Yeah, they leave them down to cool them, but all that does is slow the climb rate. This aircraft lost lift just after take off for some reason.

I have been trying to work out a senario where he not only survived but was almost injury free ? I mean he didnt fall from the plane, he was in it at the moment of impact and the fuel ignition.

Considering that huge fireball must have been 800 to 1500 F, how on earth is it possible as statistically it must be close to impossible ?

There was a crash here in Michigan in 1987, Northwest Airlines Flight 255,  just after takeoff from Detroit Metropolitan Airpory like this India flight.

A 4 year old girl was the only survivor out of 154 passengers and crew.

Miracles do happen.

I remember the day it happened very well, it was a scorcher here in the Detroit area, 95 degrees or so.
Bill Bonds, the main TV news anchor here on channel 7, was crying on Live TV when they found out the little girl survived.

Are you sure? The engineer whistleblower explains minute imperfections that can cause big problems over time.

The incident rate would be higher, if not the accident rate. There would be other clues, because aircraft have been flying long enough to have gone through heavy maintenance, and issues developed. This aircraft had flown around 40,000 hours, and was the 26th 787 built. If there were serious issues with the airframe, even if it was something that would develop over time, they should be seeing them on some airframes. I'm sure there are issues that will still crop up, and there have definitely been production issues, but we should be seeing major issues by now if they were out there.

A picture of the wing appears to show flaps and slats deployed, but the question is was that because of impact and damage to the wing.
