And approx. 150 casualties on the ground. Apparently, the plane dropped onto a doctors’ hostel.

It's going to take time to evaluate the aftermath of this crash.

Apparently there was one survivor (miraculously). He said there was a loud noise and then it crashed.  Given how low it was in the video and the fact that the landing gear were still down it looks like the “loud noise” might have been right about at liftoff. An engine failure at takeoff (from a bird strike for example) could explain the noise, but commercial aircraft are designed to lose an engine and still be able to climb out even at maximum takeoff weight. The video shows the aircraft as not having enough power to climb and basically descending with a nose up attitude at idle power, which would seem to imply that whatever happened affected both engines.

Just showing a video on the news of it taking off.

It struggles to gain height, flies level and then comes down.

Zaphod?

A very sad and tragic accident.

There's a video of the crash, it's in the source I posted and all over the internet, but I won't post it out of respect for the victims.

Honestly, I hope, but I don't think anyone could have survived that. Plus, it fell in a residential area, so most probably, more lost souls.

R.I.P. to all who perished and thoughts and prayers for their loved ones.

Very sad ! RIP to those killed in this tragedy.

My wife said it sadly but understandably that you almost hope it was terrorism since that's 'understandable' and you have more faith in the air industry.
But I am hoping I am wrong in saying,  what if it's more equipment and safety problems with Boeing/s. . .

There’s no evidence of a bird strike yet. CCTV of the takeoff doesn’t show any indication of any engine issues. It does appear to show a possible misconfigured take off.

What's one of those?  Rotated too early?

Misconfigured take off. It looks like they didn’t lower the flaps, although how they ignored the cockpit warnings, if they didn’t lower them, is going to be the question. Either they didn’t lower the flaps at all, in which case there would have been a warning horn going off, or they didn’t lower them enough/retracted them too soon, in which case there was no warning horn.

No or improper flap setting. Without flaps or slats lowered the aircraft doesn’t take off well. It has to go a lot faster to generate lift.

Just read where the survivor said the loud noise happened about 30 seconds after takeoff.  Probably had already raised the gear and maybe retracted flaps, so the configuration we saw in the video was probably not the takeoff configuration.
