Japan is following suit with inspections. Regulating agencies have to be seen to be doing something, so they’re having a kneejerk reaction.

The data recorders have been recovered.

A person claiming to be a former Air India crew member has come forward and said that this plane has had problems for years, but because Air India didn't have a spare aircraft for the Gatwick sector they kept dispatching the aircraft without allowing it to go through maintenance for the issues that it was having.[Image: 506766234_1267251275065510_5524154786748131227_n.jpg]

I believe they also said that lack of thrust had to do with an hydraulic issue, but I watched so many different experts chime in on this, my brain is spinning.

Hydraulics have nothing to do with engine thrust. The throttle and engine control is a mechanical link. The only thing engine related that hydraulics control are the thrust reversers.

So there is a 'new' video, it is the original video taken from the rooftop as the plane was coming down, what was shown first was a video of a video.  It shows the RAT (Ram Air Turbine) deployed, and you can also hear the RAT as the plane passes.

There’s quite a bit of controversy over the sound. There’s video of them going over that clearly has low power engine noise, and no RAT sound. Then there’s video of them going over with clear RAT sound.

Hi,
Flight data recorder info will likely be revealed here on the Aviation Herald first
Meanwhile...
It's hard to believe nobody thought to do this way to come up  with, perhaps, a presumptive cause of the crash.

I can't post this to the Aviation Herald website 'cause they require 200 Euros to join the website, and I've  no need to cough up that amount of cash.   If any of you belong to AviationHerald, you might consider posting this on it.
...
We know that  at least 3 or 4 unlikely events caused it.
(1) Dual engine simultaneous flameout at certain altitude
(1) (a) Contaminated fuel
(2) No flap take off
(3) Premature flap retraction

Suggestion that nobody thought of.....
787-9 Simulator
Set the simulator for same airfield, same density altitude, same weather, and same weight and balance, and gear staying down.
Note the exact distance from runway end to crash site.
Simulate the last minute (or seconds) of nose up attitude before the crash.

Then run the simulator thru each of the above situations, and see which of the situations matches the exact distance to the crash site.   And then, simulator pilot, ask yourself why some innocuous website user thought of it first.

That’s one thing that will happen during the investigation.
I’m starting to think they had a single engine failure post V1, and misidentified the engine and shut the good one down, or were in the process of shutting it down. If you watch the take off video, from near the runway, just after they get airborne the aircraft suddenly yaws right. The wind was only 7 knots, and shouldn’t have caused them to yaw. Losing an engine would. The crew was already pretty busy, and may have grabbed the wrong throttle, or misidentified the engine with the problem.
