If anyone’s traveling to Brazil soon, this alien statue is probably going to be the new selfie hotspot.

The city behind the legendary Varginha ET case of 1996 (often called Brazil’s Roswell) has just added something new to its UFO legacy. They installed a massive 13 ft alien sculpture right in front of their ET Memorial.
The piece was made by Renato Criaturas, an artist known for creating strange and otherworldly characters for Brazilian TV.
It looks like they’re doubling down on alien tourism...
Here is a recap from the group of girls, Liliane Silva, Valquiria Silva, and Katia Xavier, that made headlines at the time after claiming they had stumbled across a strange creature in broad daylight.

it is gross looking fantasy alien.
Cannot pinpoint exactly when greys became depicted always naked.. It is a synonym when someone talk of greys, talking about naked people from another planet (may be they are nudists culturally).
What they should have put as a tribute to aliens is a statue of a human being in space gear and call it 'an alien'. )) haha))
Thanks, imitator, for this news piece!

yeah it does look menacing, perhaps unfairly so depending on what your definition of 'fantasy' is
but to be fair humans have been sending mixed messages about the naked thing:
and don't pretend about the vast majority of internet traffic...

It was probably a naked guy with a sixteen incher hanging between his legs, they were so focused on that they could not remember what the guy looked like....they were in shock. So they all made up a story that it had no balls that they noticed and made their description to appear to be an alient.

I remember reading about the encounter in UFO magazine (UK) back in 96/97. They also had a Brazilian Ufologist appear and talk about the event at one of their conferences. It's how the 3 girls claimed the 'Alien' looked when they came across it curled up hiding.
https://allthatsinteresting.com/varginha-ufo-incident
Quote:Several residents of a town in Brazil claimed that their city was overrun with aliens in 1996 — and that the government covered it up. But is there any proof?
In January 1996, three young witnesses between the ages of 14 and 22 claimed to have seen something strange in Varginha, Brazil. They said they had seen a small, hairless creature with oily brown skin, a large head, and red eyes — and they referred to it as a “devil.”
In the days that followed, several other residents would come forward, claiming that they, too, had witnessed something not of this world. These eerie phenomena would soon become known as the Varginha UFO incident.
As rumors swirled, the details became murkier and more outrageous. Some claimed to have seen UFOs flying through the skies, while others alleged that extraterrestrials were being rounded up by the military and placed under investigation at a local hospital.
The government denied all of these reports. The strange “creature” the three young witnesses had seen? According to an official investigation, that was just a homeless man nicknamed “Mudinho.” The aliens seen at the hospital? Nothing more than an expectant couple with dwarfism.
Today, the city of Varginha, much like Roswell, leans heavily into the story of its infamous UFO experience, selling Varginha alien dolls and even adorning a water tower with a UFO-shaped saucer.
There are those, however, who insist it was all true to this very day.
