Amazon disarms James Bond
#1
Quote:As shared by the SpyHards account on X, updated poster artwork for nearly every Bond film now omits Bond holding a gun.

This includes posters for classics like Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye, and Skyfall, among others. The guns have simply been Photoshopped out (or through the use of AI).

“Welcome to a world where promoting James Bond 007 needs to be done without his sidearm,” one fan wrote in response.

Metaphorically, James Bond's "gun" was removed years ago by woke feminists. Now, Amazon is literally removing his sidearm.

What will be next? We've already seen cigarettes and smoking digitally removed from movies for years. Where does it end? Real-time AI rewriting of scripts and dialog, based on the viewer's preferred trigger warnings? Oops, can we even call them "trigger" warnings any more? Let's digitally re-edit history so they've always been called "sensitivity" warnings.

Dr. Nope and a View To A "I Don't Think So!"

I grew up with Bonds.

They were the ideal then.

Don't tell anybody, but there seems to be a gun there.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Not Bond.

But what about all the Western movies and shows?

Does the calvery charge in just in time to use harsh words against the outlaws and indians?

Can we no longer remember the Alimo as not being a rent a car company?

What about the war movies without guns?

The Longest Mean Letter.
Mean Words Too Far.
The Things of Naverone.
Playing Bridge at Toko-Ri.
The Angry Splashing of the Bismark.
The Baffeling of Brittain.

And what about Alien and Aliens? No flamers, no guns, just lots of humans happily hosting the xenomorphs.

Guns don't kill movies, removing guns kills movies.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

The CIA saw the disarming of men coming years ago, that's why they created the MK program. They knew all the boys would be pussies growing up and not eligible for combat without strapping them to a chair first.

What's next? King Authors sword? Gandalf's staff? ridiculous.

Yep.  I came of age with Bond, myself.  He taught an entire generation of men to drink too much, smoke too much, drive too fast, and treat women badly.

No, no. We have to go back to the first one. Got to eliminate rocks. The first murder weapon.
