I don't think for one minute t's an alien vessel lol. When I say 'exotic materials' I'm simply referring to what it's made of.

It could have been a piece of anything. Something formed around a magnetar or some such. It doesn't sound like a usual comet, given its behaviour.

I wish we could have sent some type of probe to collect samples off it while it was passing through.

it sure would not be a 'landing'. more like an impact....which brings me to the following...why not try to shoot at it to chip off some debris and dust and collect it later with any luck? but...may be even that is not doable at those velocities.

Because it is a comet. albeit very unusual...I hope it is a comet, Sirius))

Great movie for many reasons. They just don't make them like that any more. Bullets aside; comet as delivery vehicle theory is interesting, it's possible to spend lifetime fantasizing on mechanisms. An issue is, well just ground observations. instantaneous travel being notable. Portals and other weird stuff. Could be related to electromagnetic fields, however quantum physics and theory makes it woo woo weird. There is also a question around looking to deep with theories around quantum nature.

This wouldn't be shocking. I wouldn't doubt that this is another one of their self fulfilling prophecies, like Wormwood.

Looks like a ufo preparing to joust. The whole thing is a psy-op. Maybe leading to project blue beam and the fake alien invasion or who knows what else. But come on people, after all these years, suddenly all these "whistleblowers" about aliens come out, at the same time we suddenly find all these alien artifacts on earth, at the same time we suddenly have congressional hearings about aliens, at the same time we suddenly have drones and mysterious sightings n our skies, at the same time we suddenly have a possible alien ship headed our way to kill us all. Does that seem organic and natual to you or does it maybe seem a little more coordinated and scripted in an attempt to push a narrative?
