Yep. And it will come from amateur astronomers telescopes, and not NASA.
I'll be one of those amateurs posting what I find.

Ah, some folks will believe it's a comet right until the time it parks on our doorstep.

Or it launched some spy bots behind the sun.
Be kind to everyone!

I am waiting for more spectrography analysis when "it" reaches Jupiter from ESA's Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer (Juice) equipment.
In the meantime, Loeb thinks this:
"Dr Loeb claimed: ‘The rare coincidence might mean that 3I/ATLAS intends to release technological devices as artificial satellites of Jupiter, potentially at Jupiter’s Lagrange points L1 and L2.’"
---
"March 16, 2026
The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is expected to approach Jupiter on March 16, 2026. It will be closest to Jupiter at a distance of approximately 53.56 million kilometers (0.358 AU). This encounter may provide opportunities for further exploration and study of the object"

So it would rather study Jupiter than us.
How convenient that Juice will be able to take pics of any satellites 3i Atlas may put into Jupiter's orbit.
"The only journey is the one within."

I like the idea that it could be a Von Neumann probe... which scouts out an entire galaxy by creating duplicates of itself, it could explore every solar system in the Milky Way in less than a million years.
The Angry Astronaut throws a few theories at it, including the Von Neumann probes.
Two spooky discoveries prove that NASA is wrong about 3I Atlas!

When I changed jobs after 16 years, I didn't have a lot of time for our old forum. When I finally did, it was gone. I did a lot of searching and finally came across here. Glad to be back, I've missed everyone.
