2/27/26 Amb Huckabee Tells Americans in Israel to Get Out
#1
Amb Huckabee has told Americans in Israel who wish to leave to (paraphrase) - get out now and take any flight you can to get out of the country and that you can then get a connect back to America.   He said to do this because things are heating up with Iran and to do it out of an abundance of caution.

Hmmm .... War with Iran isn't exactly 'no new wars' ... but here it comes.   Iran would be fairly easy to topple I'd think.  The Muslim countries usually stick together but they really don't like Iran so I doubt they'd come to Irans aid.  And 'the people' of Iran are being slaughtered by their government so they'd probably welcome the US hitting their government.

Story Here

Quote:The United States authorised embassy staff in Israel to leave the country on Friday morning, with Ambassador Mike Huckabee urging those who wish to depart to “do so TODAY” as fears mount over a possible U.S. strike on Iran.  In an email sent at 10:24 a.m. local time on Friday, Huckabee told employees the decision followed overnight meetings and discussions with the State Department, taken out of “an abundance of caution” and with staff safety as the priority.  Those choosing to leave “should do so TODAY,” he wrote, according to the New York Times, advising them to secure seats on outbound flights from Ben-Gurion Airport to any destination available.

“Focus on getting a seat to anyplace from which you can then continue travel to DC, but the first priority will be getting expeditiously out of country,” he wrote.  The embassy shifted to an “authorized departure” footing, allowing nonessential personnel and their dependents to evacuate at government expense when U.S. national interests or an imminent threat to life requires

Well so much for the 'no more wars' promise, if what appears to be coming does indeed arrive.
If it does come to a war and the population of Iran are behind a U.S. engagement, I imagine it could be a short war, but usually the Iranians don't like the idea of the backers of Israel trying to interfere.

Looking at this Cynically, is it a way for Trump to try and possibly hold of the mid-terms?

This is quite possibly the last opportunity Israel has to have America fight a war on their behalf.

Public sentiment is quickly flipping on Israel. If the right loses the midterms, it’s possible Trump won’t have the same latitude for something like this.

It’s unfortunate, but hopefully the end of a chapter where we for whatever reason have to prove how much we support a foreign nation so we don’t get accused of being antisemitic. A nation we hold no treaties with. All while we have to parrot “our greatest ally”, which I assume is a slap in the face to nations who have actually sent their soldiers to fight along side ours.

It is a good way to distract from the Epstein files. I got some reports that Iran did get through the Iron Shield last time they traded blows. As for what really happened?

With how Israel though all of it problem would end taking out Gaza... Now has to take out Iran too... Will it really end there? Nope.

Which is ironic, because allegedly some of the challenges we’re facing this time around is countries not willing to host our efforts. It was already a little shaky with a few of the countries, seeing as regime change is a big part of the rhetoric this time instead of just “obliterating” their nuclear capabilities. When you make existential threats like that, there aren’t the same off ramps, and there’s more of a possibility Iran tries to hurt everyone complicit on their way down.

But what really helped make that decision for some not to offer staging grounds (allegedly), was Huckabee’s comment on being fine if Israel’s ambitions are to expand to the biblical borders of greater Israel, a project many don’t try to hide from being ambitious about.

To your point, many of their missiles did hit targets last time around. The ones we saw were just the ones Israel allowed cameras around. This time around we’re staging a lot of assets in Israel. If Israel. F22’s and other aircraft at the airport in Tel Aviv as we speak. Probably not the first choice since they would be the prime target of Iran if things went south, though I imagine they’d be airborne by then.

In principle it is up to the people of the region to sort out. If Israel could make a better form of governance and way of life, it win the hearts and minds of the region. If all it has is guns and bombs to push its way around, not the first time this world has dealt with it.

Quick inquiry: Why do Gods Chosen People™ need nukes?

Aside from that, good luck finding bodies to put in boots. Enjoy the current troop levels. You got two generations of very well trained objectors to war and guns in general. They won't help you. All the remaining patriots loyal to American foreign policy ARE GONE. The Afghanistan pull out was the BIGGEST slap in the face of every veteran involved in those banker conflicts.

The public is too aware, more wise and fatigued to the gills.

A draft? FAFO, lol. You will see an ADAMANT pushback if they try it. It will be a cluster fk of epic proportions.

Because they are a tiny democratic country that welcomes religious and social freedom, surrounded by angry non-democratic Muslim countries that blame Israel for every problem they have in their lives.

I agree they’re the only democracy in the region. I’m not sold that they’re some refuge for all religions though. A lot of the Arab countries around them have more Christians than they do.

I think them having nukes though is what makes a possible appetite for nuclear arms in the region. Also, the CIA may lean towards Israel being the source of the missing nuclear material from Pennsylvania in the 70’s.

If that’s the case, that along with the USS Liberty, and Pollard makes me wonder if they see us as their greatest ally or greatest tool.

The Middle East is no longer our interest. We don’t even get 10% of our oil from there. So instability in the region is no different than instability in Africa or parts of Asia. There are plenty of ruthless dictatorships we don’t even talk about, and some we actively support. So I don’t understand the fixation on that region, or why we call Israel our greatest ally when they’ve never shown up on the battlefield to support our troops, only the other way around.

Please forgive the overuse of "quotations" here-- and hopefully understand the root point:

In "theory", "God" 's "Chosen People" "Are" / "should be" (allowed/forgiven/bless-ed as) the Sole arbiter of the use of "nukes".  Not claiming any facts other than simply stating that the "obvious" "social contract" among the Heavens and Earth-- IF such heirarchy exists and remains "aligned" with Order-- requires as much.

More nuance to address in due time.
Slingshot, engage
