Given that the human mind has the active function of cognitive dissonance, which has often puzzled me, I have often wondered about the utility of that aspect. Some of the comments herein allows me to suspect for the first time that the nitty-gritty segments involved in a genuine understanding of what is true reality is beyond human comprehension, never to be fully known understood. If one approaches that position, is there a safe position of observation, or does cognitive dissonance intercede to rule the day?
