Oh, I forgot to comment on the transathlete part of it...
That was a diversity and inclusion bridge too far.

Cant argue when those arguments are made. Or feel bad that the girl who won the marathon had to divulge they were transgender in case they needed to award another gold medal to the top finishing biological female to be fair to her.
They know they have an asterisk medal. Its reinforced in even the wokest of competetive circumstances.
If a high school transathlete runs girl's track and starts turning heads in competition with intermural records, do you honestly think any college track teams are awarding a scholarship to her? Will her records even be acknowledged?
It is still viewed in a lens like steroids, even to open-minded and accepting. The unfair part is met with no scholarships, records, and second medals being awarded.
I feel bad for the few that want to play team sports, but I can also imagine what a transathlete could do with a 250 foot home run fence and a hanging pitch. But then again, you could also just walk her every time too.
But suppose some transathlete hit 40 home runs her senior season of HS, is Oklahoma making her the next Joceylon Alo? Or does that asterisk that will always be in play end up as a hard pass from all scouts everywhere?
In all reality a 6' 1" 170 pound girl at first base yeilds little to a man of the same height and weight. How much faster is the transathlete in 60 feet? How much harder can they hit it? Its more negligible than people realize.
But in more reality, they'll never advance as biological females would. The IOC decision is a reflection of ALL those realities of the limits of what transathletes can accomplish in high level competitive sports. And the Olympics are the highest of the high.
Even for the wokest of softball fans only a biological female can replace Joceylon Alo, because she was that fucking amazing.
And there's gotta be an intermediary where you can acknowledge that without awarding the unrouchable caste, the scarlet letter, and the mental disease.
