There are 101 problems with the Trump admin, but the Gaza ceasefire agreement isn't one of them. The return of the hostages is the essential element of the deal. However, the following steps will come unglued with Hamas remaining in power. 

Hamas supporters, under the guise of pro-Palestine movements, across the globe, ensured there was insufficient international pressure for regime change in Gaza. 

The only way Hamas is removed from power is if the Palestinian people overthrow the current regime.

That is my conclusion as well. Hamas is intent on genocidal mania against Jewish people. Hamas has no interest in running Gaza as part of a Palestinian state.

Apart from the issue of Hamas remaining in power, the international community's continued adherence to the Two-State fantasy dooms the slim chance for a successful Middle East process. In short, an Israel-Gaza confederation is the only narrow path forward. Israel's civil service/statehood tools would embrace Gaza. Gaza would have representation in a confederation parliament.
