USA just sunk a drug boat from Venezuela

There are plenty of examples post WWII where administrations do things with an official narrative, but an anterior motive.

How many dictatorships do we directly support right now? So I think it's fair to question going after a country that has almost no market share in the drug trade.

You don't know the specifics, nor do I, but you are purely speculating worst-case scenarios.

They had actionable intelligence, and they acted upon that intelligence, or does every military action since WWII have  anterior motives

There's no reason to do such an international event that could blow up in the most scrutinized and examined administration face EVER.

Makes no sense, the Venezuelans pretending it didn't happen, come on man... put on your Mr Spock ears...

Every piece of intelligence that is given to the GP is given to the enemy. What do you think? There are always old hairier motives.
I'd use Occam's Razor, but I don't want to spend the time educating people.

It's funny though, to see the evil left defend drug-runners. terrorists, sex-traffickers, just because Trump is against them.

I don't think anyone here is claiming that the CIA is involved.

I mean, they probably are though.

When was the last time we positioned our navy outside of a country, and used it to strike a suspected drug running speed boat?

I don't think we've ever done that. The closest argument would be the Coast Guard, but they use a 50 cal to the engine block.

I don't see many people defending drug runners, terrorists, or the ilk.

I think many are skeptical that this was the only goal here.

People were critical of the invasion of Iraq, and called terrorist sympathizers. It's a common tactic to try and paint anyone who questions the government into looking like they support bad people. And the same people who called them terrorist sympathizers came around to agree the Iraq war was a horrible waste of life, resources, and money.

If we did absolutely nothing with Venezuela, what would happen? we leave 5% market share of drugs on the global market? We could do more close to home without the navy and address more market share.

The question is why Venezuela. Yes, their country is run by a dictatorship. Yes they do illegal things. But there are countries we are aligned with that fit that criteria.

How many is too many?

IDK man, you see some wild takes on the internet. I've learned to live with it.

No.

It's people actually siding with criminals.

They (the evil left) don't have a platform other than complete control and power.

Freedom is a concept they mock.
