USA just sunk a drug boat from Venezuela
What exactly is is considered "street drugs"? Would those be drugs not licensed and approved by the FDA?

Its sounds like a bit of sci-fi tech.

I know our state pd can use infrared to find plants, , but that would not work on packaged goods.

A 'street' drug contextually speaking is a drug NOT distributed as "prescription"... and yet it still exists... and can be bought... almost anywhere.

FDA sanctioning and control have become tools for commerce and industry.. not the consumer.

The proof is in the profit.

Actually that is an interesting idea for a thread. I don't have much expertise, so I won't start it, but I've heard that there's a suspicious overlap between "petroleum byproducts" and "pharmaceuticals".

Ai sez:
"Modern active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are almost exclusively produced by designed organic synthesis using petrochemical feedstocks, bio‑based feedstocks, or advanced catalysis. The historical link remains: many foundational reactions, intermediates, and chemical knowledge trace back to coal‑tar/petroleum derivatives."

If you have a poison you can't get rid of, sell it as a cure. Maybe?

I guess you could get into the whole Rockefeller snake-oil thing, too, and the invention of "allopathic" medicine.
Quote:On Dec. 15, at the direction of @SecWar Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted lethal kinetic strikes on three vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations in international waters. Intelligence confirmed that the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and were engaged in narco-trafficking. A total of eight male narco-terrorists were killed during these actions—three in the first vessel, two in the second and three in the third. #OpSouthernSpear

As a VN era veteran seeing these boats in smoke warms my heart.

Third causality of that war were the men who came home on H.....  Out homeless started because of the people we were lol protecting turned against us.

Y I live outside of America, since 1985 as watching the news sickens me as I lost far too many friends....  to protect those ugly Americans.... who kick out system burn our streets whilst making the innocent quake with fear.....

I used to have 1/3 San Francisco for a territory for Newport Cigs.....  Loved SF and will never she her again....
Interesting and informative piece by Sky News/Murdoch Press (UK version of Fox News) detailing the ins and outs of Venuzuala's crude oil density and geo politics of oil refineries.

This topic used to be a conspiracy theory years ago and Sky of all people have come up with incredible quality journalism for once in a blue moon - not saying I agree with Sky's view just an incredibly rare very high quality piece of journalism from a MSM outlet.

Tl;dr - 70% of US oil is dependent on heavy crude from Canada and Venezuela. US economy and petro-manufacturing prcoess is fully dependent on Venezuelan heavy crude to function hence war for oil outside congressional approval/oversight. Russia is the only country in the world to have more heavy crude oil than Venezuala hence Trump admn 180'ing international policy to US being Putin's bitch.

Venezuelan crude accounts for 2-3% of US crude imports.
Your numbers are a bit misleading.
Quote:A U.S. Coast Guard MQ-9 Reaper captured an unprecedented operation 120 nautical miles off Venezuela: two Venezuelan Navy warships, PO13 and PO15, escorted trafficker boats carrying 8 tons of cocaine. High-resolution drone footage revealed state-backed sailors directly transferring narcotics to cartel operatives. Intelligence confirms shipments worth over $200 million, coordinated by Admiral Ernesto Sadeño Tobar and cartel leadership. This is not rogue action—it’s a national military force acting in the service of organized crime. Federal indictments are underway, but the shipments continue.

“If people want to stop seeing drug boats blow up, stop sending drugs to the United States."
-Secretary of State Marco Rubio

He is not wrong.
