All very Democrat heavy cities.... The riot police and riot squads perform/use different tactics/equipment. "Even though riot tactics are effective in controlling crowds, they can also lead to significant psychological effects on both the rioters and the police. Exposure to intense fear, stress, and violence during these confrontations can result in long-term mental health issues, like anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and heightened aggression, which can impact the well-being of protesters and police officers." Riot control - Wikipedia The point here is this type of military-style training which escalates tensions and uses excessive force infringes on legal protesters' rights. That's the point. "“Militarized, racist, violent policing in this country, rooted in centuries of colonization and slavery and war-making here in the US, alongside Israeli occupation and the brutality enacted against Palestinians there — there’s no good sense in which those governments should be trading and cross-training and developing relationships with one another,” the JVP’s Fox said." What 1,000 top US cops have learned in Israel, and why it's controversial | The Times of Israel Georgia and North Carolina are mentioned in the above article. But the blame game is not what this is about. It's about militarizing the police. The police need to police not engage in counterterrorism tactics with legal protesters, even if they do riot. A protest riot has historically NOT been considered terrorism. Don't be led by the nose into what your government wants to be the new normal, that being demonizing legal protests in your country. None of this is good for the people, it just stokes more division and distraction from what the oligarchs are doing to enrich themselves.
