I'm not sure why they decided to do this because 70% of their oil using this route is shipped to China. It must be for military strategic purposes.

The Iran Ayatollahs might be demanding for religious reasons that ALL Iran ships must sink in Iran waters!!

 Iran’s Fordow nuclear site did not suffer any serious damage in the attack launched by the US, Fars news agency reported on Sunday, citing MP Mohammad Manan Raisi from Qom Province where the facility is located.
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan nuclear sites were “completely and totally obliterated” in the American strikes overnight.
Raisi told the agency that “contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged, and most of what was damaged was only on the ground level and can be restored.”

Yeah, from everything I've read leading up to the raid, I got that sinking feeling that the bombings may not make any difference. The Iranians may have moved their personnel and  uranium to other sites.

If it pans out to be true that the sites weren't completely destroyed, this conflict is going to last a long time and just become a long-term whack-a-mole bombing game.

He sounds like a real trustworty peach
 Mohammad Manan Raisi is an Iranian MP representing Qom, known for his strong stance on Iran's nuclear activities and opposition to negotiations with the West. He has publicly criticized the Supreme National Security Council for not enforcing stricter hijab laws and has been vocal about continuing nuclear enrichment despite external pressures.

I hope one day that people realize whenever they act as if it's going to be incredibly easy, or a quick in and out, we should raise red flags.

That said, we've proven that we'll never learn.

As to religious reasons, be careful that the Shiites in the surrounding countries don't start believing this is also against their religion/culture/freedoms...Americans will then be bombarded by terrorism. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Not sure putting in the son of the Shah would be the best move. Isn't that what cascaded the country into their current government out of anger that the west was controlling their country?
