This is not hearsay.  Dr. Zinner is a fully qualified Psychiatrist and an expert on Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Many people mistakenly think that the Goldwater Rule put out by the APA says that Psychiatrists cannot give an accurate diagnosis of certain mental conditions without having a doctor-patient relationship with an individual, but that is completely false.  The Goldwater rule makes no claims at all about the accuracy of a diagnosis without a doctor-patient relationship.  Mainly because there's no evidence to support that claim. The APA simply says  it does not WANT Psychiatrists to do that.  Mostly for the same reason that a pimp doesn't want his hookers to give away free samples--it cuts in to the profit margin.

Some medical conditions absolutely require a deep examination and specialized tests to arrive at an accurate diagnosis.  Some don't.  For example, if someone shows up in the Emergency Room complaining that they "don't feel well" a whole series of lab tests and hands-on exams are called for and will be performed. On the other hand if someone shows up in the Emergency Room with a broken bone sticking out of their arm and bleeding profusely, any doctor could instantly diagnose a compound fracture from across the room.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a social-developmental disorder.  That means it's a disorder that has to do with how an individual has failed to develop a normal adult personality capable of interacting with other individuals in a non-dysfunctional manner.  The way you diagnose it is by observing how the individual thinks, talks, and acts with regard to other people and comparing those observations against the diagnostic criteria.  That's it.  No X-rays, lab tests, or MRIs. Dr. Zinner can observe all those behaviors as well as or better than anyone else, and he knows what to look for.

I clearly did read your post. That is how I knew to respond.

I suppose your belief that I didn't, indicates that you were unable to think of an actually pertinent insult.

Even those with the lowest of intellect should be able to do that!

I think the most elderly here, the most vocal, have figured out that one particular flaw, we elderly have figured out many flaws and we are moving through them, don't focus on one thing.

So, what I am saying is that it is not that as easy as you think it is. How old are you?

What did he say about Biden, when for 3 years everyone said he was the sharpest guy in the room until he was exposed as a vegetable on the debate stage?

But the posts I'm seeing sure look like idiotic posts.

Well, you have authored a good few of them and can't seem to bring up any unique points that are close to the topic.

The general trend of your posts is to imply that everyone else, many of whom who have written at length and have been able to externally reference their discussion points, is incapable of understanding anything, or you simply trade insults.

If anything, someone who cannot address the actual topic seems to have misunderstood what is going on here.

In many of his posts he has called for military actions and executions.

DBCowboy seems to have little understanding of value human life. The very young are often like that, and will follow rules without evaluation of consequence, thinking that they are being 'right'.

An example used in psychiatry to evaluate cognitive & ethical development is to tell a story about an old man whose wife is sick and dying, and there is a drug available from a dispensary that will save her life. But when the old man gets there, he is too poor to afford the medicine and so he is ejected from the premises. So, after dark, the old man smashes the window and steals the medicine, which he gives to his wife. Then the child is asked if the old man did the right thing.

The normal response from the quite young is that "stealing is wrong". Jean Piaget described this as heteronomous morality – a morality imposed from outside, where children regard rules as absolute and unchangeable. In Piaget’s framework, this stage typically spans from around age 5 to age 10.

During this stage, children take rules more seriously, believing they are handed down by authority figures and are sacred and never to be altered. Breaking a rule is always wrong, regardless of circumstances. Punishment, in the child’s mind, is automatic and proportional to the offense – a belief Piaget called immanent justice. Children at this age may genuinely believe that bad things happen to people because those people did something wrong.

Generally, before the age of 10, most people move from strict compliance upon external authority to internalized ethical morality and reasoning. However, there are several personality disorders where these do not come about and although they gain other more adult attributes, they remain at a juvenile level ethically. We would class these emotionally undeveloped people as having narcissistic, sociopathic and psychopathic disorders.

I would think that from DBCowboy's posts, that he might well think that murder could be justified, as long as he can 'cover' it with the external 'rule' of an 'authority'.

I don't think Biden was ever considered the sharpest guy in the room.

Obama and Bill Clinton had far higher official IQ's. Biden's was unpublished but has been estimated to be about 120, and possibly the lowest of all US Presidents.

I think that Trumb needed to try and appear more adequate than Biden.

It is hard to know Trumb's IQ because it is now known that he cheated and paid for his academic results. He also was never at the top of his class, despite his lies that he was.

And Trumb has teams of people who have had the job of 'scrubbing' anything from his past that he doesn't want known (it probably has been a staple of all Republican Presidents since Nixon's "Gemstone projects". It wouldn't surprise me if the Democratic Party did the same thing).

His former college professor, William T. Kelley described Trumb as the "dumbest goddam student I ever had". Another of his teachers said that Trumb was always unprepared, and his classmates that remember him, said he was always skipping classes.

Trumb's vocabulary is also that of an 8 year old.

I'm about 6 months younger than Trump and I have a University degree in developmental Psychology.  I studied this stuff for 5 or 6 years.
