'Lots' of reports of unknown objects emerging from (or submerging into) the world's oceans and there's a pretty fascinating new interview right here with Rich Dolan on 'Unidentified Submerged Objects'.

Specific, unexplained incidents in Puerto Rico get mentioned more than once (also extremely weird goings on in the Santa Catalina Channel) and there's a nice refresher vid on the subject here.

Richard Dolan's newest book is The History of USOs: Unidentified Submerged Objects. Here he points out that observations of mysterious objects have been reported since ancient times entering or leaving bodies of water. They seem to follow certain patterns, for example responding to changes in human technology, that suggest an intelligence behind their operation. In many regards they resemble UFOs. Dolan reviews his findings from having analyzed over 600 cases of this type.

There was once a truly awesome 36 page ATS thread on 'USO Research' but thanks to almost criminal mismanagement of that site looks like all the info has now gone for good.

Many, many moons ago there was also an ATS thread on 'UFOs/USOs And The Island Of Puerto Rico' and did manage to save some of the content before it disappeared so will post when time allows.

The late, great British zoologist Ivan T Sanderson was also writing on USO research way back in the 1960s and would say if anyone's interested in this subject then his book 'Invisible Residents' is one of the 'essential reads' (free E-book link below).

Sanderson reminds us of the hard yet oft-forgotten fact of UFOlogy, which is, most UFOs seem inextricably connected with water - They are very frequently seen entering and leaving water, moving through or above water, and otherwise interacting with water.

Sanderson explores all the implications of this, leading him to postulate that most UFOs are actually USOs - Unidentified Submerged Objects, and their pilots, these other intelligences (OINTS), may have evolved alongside of humanity but under the sea.

British researcher Paul Sinclair describes some extremely strange UFO/USO activity around the North/East Yorkshire coastline in summer, 2009.




News Report:

The case of the Wilsthorpe Incident is being investigated after a number of witnesses to the bizarre events along a 25-mile stretch of the East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire coast were discovered.

Witnesses reported seeing strange lights, and odd-shaped craft in an area from Brandesburton in East Yorkshire to Scarborough, North Yorkshire, between May and September 2009.

In some cases UFOs were seen entering the sea, and cars ground to a halt as one appeared, it is claimed.

Two Chinook helicopters full of RAF personnel landed at the beach by the remote hamlet of Wilsthorpe, East Yorkshire, on Tuesday, September 15 2009, at the height of the sightings, paranormal researcher Paul Sinclair has revealed.

It was the day after a bizarre late-night sighting of between 30 and 40 UFOs in the same area by an elderly couple whose home overlooked the beach, he said.

The multiple UFOs sighting followed a spate of other strange UFO sightings along the area of coastline, Mr Sinclair told the Outer Limits Magazine 70 Years of the Modern UFO Era Conference in Hull.

The military action and UFOs were witnessed by the couple, two bait diggers, and a boat worker, a seven-year investigation by Mr Sinclair has discovered.

local newspaper report written more than a week later on September 24 said up to 50 people had seen the military arrival.

The case began in 2009 as Mr Sinclair recorded several UFO sightings in the area on his former website ILF-UFO...

The couple lived in one of 30 flats that overlook the sea at Wilsthorpe.

Mr Sinclair told the conference that the woman described seeing on September 14 2009 15-feet long and eight-feet wide "spaceships over the sea".

He said: "She said there was a huge circle of boomerang-shaped craft.

"She said there were loads - 30 to 40 and the sea below was bubbling, banging and crashing."

The woman said that after about half an hour, the "craft" flew off.

The next day the couple said they saw the military swarming all over the beach.

Mr Sinclair also spoke with a man who runs a bait shop at Bridlington Harbour, who told him his bait diggers had seen "triangle" craft enter the sea in 2009 over the same period.

He said two of his bait diggers had been on Wilsthorpe Beach the day the couple saw the military operation.

They told of seeing "triangles entering the sea" and later "being surrounded by soldiers."

Case at 12.40 into this video, I remember watching on Russian TV. About submarine crew watching sunset like object in the sea on the horizon. Although, the story goes a little more... There was a second submarine, also Russian, and the other one did see what the guy in the video describes. Both via radio discussed what they saw. I remember him saying about the color of the object...it was kind of red that caused great discomfort...like the shade of red he said was impossible...like he has never seen it like that before.
It was long time ago, I still remember details of that incident.

Truly intriguing stuff mate and although not many other submariner reports do remember one or two others popping up on that 36 page USO research thread.

Have heard it reported in other cases that the colour emitted by these objects seemed unnatural, otherworldly or impossible (also that the viewing of it produced emotional effects) so it's all extremely interesting.

When it comes to the marine aspect there also seems to be a common thread running through naval encounters where sailors are directly ordered by officers 'never to discuss' their experience - apparently the removal of Naval logbooks is also a thing.
