Evaluation of the evidence on acetaminophen use and neurodevelopmental disorders using the Navigation Guide methodology | Environmental Health | Full Text

Dang it.  I didn't save the link to the Mount Sinai study, just the report.

Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have found that prenatal exposure to acetaminophen may increase the risk of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), in children. The study, published today in BMC Environmental Health, is the first to apply the rigorous Navigation Guide methodology to systematically evaluate the rigor and quality of the scientific literature.
Acetaminophen (often sold under the brand name Tylenol®, and known as paracetamol outside the United States and Canada) is the most commonly used over-the-counter pain and fever medication during pregnancy and is used by more than half of pregnant women worldwide. Until now, acetaminophen has been considered the safest option for managing headache, fever, and other pain. Analysis by the Mount Sinai-led team of 46 studies incorporating data from more than 100,000 participants across multiple countries challenges this perception and underscores the need for both caution and further study.

No. They’re going up.

I was at the doctor this week. He gave me the name of an insurance broker to see which Medicare insurance covers my meds.

He was very concerned about the spike in prescription costs.

I hope it all works out for you and doctors and other medical health care professionals really need to step forward and protest Trump's inept handling of the people's healthcare.

Of course you can find anything you want on the internet.

There’s always someone or some “professional “ who’s going to agree with your chosen point of view.

But I’ve been following info on Autism diligently for 17 years.

ALL legitimate sources discredit Trump’s position.

Isn't their thought processes the same as with gun ownership as to measles, that some dying is just the cost of freedom that everyone has to deal with?

Are you kidding me?
Harvard, Mount Sinai and the others are not legitimate.

Annee, we haven't agreed on most things, but I've always respected your side.

That is just wrong.

I don't think anyone here is saying there are not other factors at play, genetics included.

But Damn lady, if you don't think pregnant women should have all the FACTS, to make an informed opinion for themselves, just because TRUMP is repeating what other doctors are saying,
Then shame on you.

I am pro vaccination. I am pro science. I avoided almost all Covid discussions — because . . .

Measles is on the rise in the states too. Some anti-vaxer’s even have infection parties. You know “hive mentality”.

I heard Whooping cough was on the rise as well.

Because Trump's anti-environment policies, drill baby drill for coal, cutting down millions of trees, and allowing Elon's AI mess further pollute your air and water.

You’re gaslighting amuses me, it always makes me chuckle.  Blame it all on Trump even though its not true, right?

“Under President Biden, U.S. oil production has reached record levels, surpassing the highest production rates during Donald Trump's presidency. In October 2023, production peaked at over 13.2 million barrels per day, compared to Trump's peak of 13 million barrels per day in November 2019.”
Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.
