Now, I can't even see the circles on the target at three hundred yards if I go down to the gun club across the street. That is life. It's crappy what happens to your eyes when you get old...er. Too much screentime I think, the LED monitor is effecting my eyesight a lot.
If there ever was a time to "bugout:" now is it. And you're worried about LED monitors? FFS
Listen, from here on out... your LEDs don't mean shit. If you got a problem with your vision I suspect you ought to get it fixed immediately. We're not in Kansas anymore.
The most contentious "right wing" (by US standards) President in 100 years just had an attempted assassination at a campaign rally. The tornado took the house and flew off. Last time we were here in the US was Abraham Lincoln. Think about that a sec.

Well, someone has to say it...
I have already heard from the rabid political opposition planting the seed of a notion that this was a 'staged' event... that this was possibly an attempt to give Trump an advantage in the upcoming election.
I rolled my eyes... and explained that this thing they were discussing was the stuff of paranoid politics they so often accuse others of doing... (lost some 'friends' there)... The topic of "Q" and "Q-Anon" (whatever the hell they imagine that is) came up... And I was immediately thrust back into my mental corner where I always maintain that too many people are too much for their party, and too much "against" the opposition, rather than "for the country."
I am listening to ongoing audio news about this... and the topic of conspiracy is already broached... but they seem to be subject to real time 'direction'... returning to the minutiae of the crime scene specifics... which they have no confirmation about... lot's of focus on the weapon (of course) (as if that 'speaks' of the criminal.)
By the way... it appears to be impossible to escape media bias even when the bias is superfluous... it's kind of sad.

5 to 7 shots.
One hit his head, a few cm to right he would be dead.
One audience member dead.
Only insane believes this was staged.

It was around 130 metres, so around 140 yards.

NYT has a photo of the actual bullet.
bullet captured on high speed camera
Anyone who says this was some kind of a false flag event not only needs to have their head examined, they also need to be investigated.

What happened to the original shooter ? Fat Antifa guy with a mustache. Did the fbi-cia-DOJ put out the wrong pre-approved patsy ? Internet and media are totally scrubbed of him now.

Speaking of which, isn’t it nice that ats allows blatant gutter trash garbage in the thread about this, replete with imploring people to flame her, to get the classic expulsion scam on anybody who replies. You want to know what they’re about now ? That’s it right there.

Heh...well, you saw how I got slapped around by the staff over there...for standing up for lawful behavior and order, and standing up AGAINST lawlessness and illegal behavior. I'm one 'WARNING' away from being banned! Pretty sad, that.

The funny thing about that photo is that they say that a bullet fired by an AR-15-style rifle would "travel approximately four-tenths of a foot while the shutter is open", as the photo shows a much longer distance, approximately one foot, so it would have to be travelling much faster than the 3,200 feet per second they mention.

The trajectory of the blurred bullet in the shot would take it much lower than through the top of his ear. imho.

It's probably more than one frame of a video screen capture. The muzzle velocity of the 5.56 NATO round is 2,700 to 3,300 FPS. The .223 which can be fired out of a 5.56 NATO chambering is on the lower end (probably down around 2,700-2,800fps). The main difference between the NATO round and the .223 is a harder primer and a hotter load. There are some faster, but not by much. A .270 Weatherby Mag has a muzzle velocity of around 3,600 FPS, and the .22-250 and 220 Swift both have velocities of 4,000 FPS. I reload all of these rounds so I'm pretty familiar with the ballistics.

Likely because it wasn't the shot which struck him. It may have been the shot before, or the shot after. I believe he fired three times. The other shots heard were from the SS snipers.
