A "Different" Donald Trump Was at the RNC Last Night
#11
Not many people can say they've been shot "at".  I've never been shot "at", but I have been held at close-range gunpoint (not by an LEO).  An event has an effect on you, and it doesn't go away very easily.

In my case, I drove up to a bar/liquor store drive-up window once.  My car was low, and the window was designed for trucks, so I had to get out of my car.  Crazy as it may sound, you used to be able to order mixed drinks out of the window (long story about the laws).  I ordered two (2) gin and tonic drinks.  I handed the clerk a $10 bill and was waiting for my change when someone poked me in the back and said..."Get out of the way!".  I didn't even look at them, reached around me and shoved them back, pushing them out of the way.  About 10 seconds later, someone poked me in the back again and told me to get out of the way, but much more aggressively this time.

At the time, my girlfriend was in my small car.  I turned around and handed the mixed drinks to her through my window, and then turned around to the window to get my change.  This dude then shoved me very hard and basically screamed..."GET THE F*** OUTTA' THE WAY!!".  Undeterred, I pushed him back again (without looking) and told him to wait his "F'ing" turn!

Now this dude was mad...and I figured we were going to have to fight.  I turned around to look, and what he'd been shoving in my back was a loaded .38.  Now, I was face to face with an armed gunman.  At the same time, the clerk came back to the window with my change (from the $10 bill).  Somehow, I calmly told her there was a guy behind me with a gun, and I opened the door to my car and drove out of the parking lot.  (I was in shock).

I drove about 200 yards, and had to pull into a convenience store parking lot where there just happened to be a local LEO.  I got out and told him what had happened and he asked me about the mixed drinks, which I admitted, and then he sped off.

That event has shaken me for 40 years since it happened!!!  Seriously.

Turned out, the guy was a Mexican national who had been thrown out of the associated bar, and had gone out to the parking lot to grab a gun, and now wanted to talk about his expulsion with the clerk at the window of the liquor store.

I got lucky.  Very.  But the point is...someone tried to assassinate Trump...and Trump got lucky too.  I didn't get shot, but Trump did.

Regardless, events like this leave a lasting mark on your psyche...they do.  And you never forget.

P.S. - Side note - That old GF and I still talk about that night.  She's long since been married and had children with another, but it doesn't change what happened that night.

Bottom line - I would expect nothing less from Trump, or anyone else who had been in his position!  I've been there...I understand.

Everyone's mileage varies when facing this kind of thing.  Some people can never get over it, being so close to 'bang' it's over... others can cope in many different ways.

But I suspect there is something very stressful about being a presidential candidate who may perpetually be in some idiots sights... all while the prevailing democrat/media alliance repeatedly and continuously tries to paint him as the antichrist incarnate, (while some of them were actually 'hopeful' for this to happen.)  Just sick.

I think I'll start calling them something other than the "mainstream" media... I think I might start calling them the "mentally-ill" media.

A different Donald Trump was at the RNC last night.  A different Donald Trump walked in.  No ... it's still him and not a body double.  But he was totally different in my observation.

There is footage of him in the hallway and in the RNC, but I don't know how to post that here.  If anyone can post it ... go ahead.

His walk was different.  His attitude was different.  He looked older.  He looked tired.   When he stepped out into the crowd that was cheering, he didn't have his usual 'eating it up' look ...  he looked nervous and like that he didn't want to be there.

I think something has dramatically changed.

Tired. Nervous. Older. I think he knows that "THEY" have tried cancelling him and tried lawfare on him, and now 'THEY" have tried assassination which was the logical next step for 'THEM".

He looks like an older man who suddenly realizes just how serious 'THEY" are about getting rid of him and he suddenly realizes just how deep the evil goes. He's been talking about it and he knows about it ... but know he KNOWS about it. It bit him.

Anyways, that's my observation.  I don't know if I'm just reading into things (I don't think so), or if others saw the same thing as I did.

Quite late in the conversation but true.
It can be explained easily because he was a subject of an assassination attempt
and his perspective has changed a lot. He knows he is lucky to be alive and perhaps concerned those who want him dead may not stop in just one attempt.

Yeah, back to the old habits.
Still self aware of what happened.
