Trump says he bombed Iran

That doesn't change the fac that the US wasn't inherently green during that time.

I think the premise of green is dumb anyways. Those batteries have close to if not the same footprint of ICE vehicles anyways. Carbon footprint to make a windmill, ect... They're pretty close.

The control is having everything rely on the same energy source. I don't think it's a bad idea to have different sources of energy. I'd like to see a lot more nuclear personally. I don't think there is any benefit in relying on fossil fuels. We may be the number one producer now, but we don't have the largest reserves, it's a short term strategy.

They can't even enrich uranium and we are to believe they make quality drones?
.....

1) Probably a mistake to consider Russia a super power.  Back when Russia was the center of the Soviet Union, they were able to draw upon the combined resources of all the federated Soviet states and therefore make a run at competing with the US for political, economic, and military influence in the world.  At their peak, however, the GDP of the Soviet Union was only about 1/3 of the size of the US.  When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia no longer commanded the resources of an empire.  Today, the Russian GDP is only about 2/3 the size of the GDP of California.  Most of their major technical accomplishments (space exploration, nuclear weapons, Foxbat fighter jets, etc.) happened before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. They have been kinda living on past glory and have been somewhat accurately described as a gas station with nuclear weapons.

2) What makes you say that Iran can't even enrich uranium?  They were enriching uranium in 2015. That's why Obama negotiated the JCPOA.  They started enriching uranium again by 2019 after Trump pulled out of the JCPOA. That's why Trump bombed their underground facilities in June of 2025 and why he is trying to figure out how to go and get the enriched uranium today.

3) As a professional aerospace engineer, I will say that the Shahed drones are not so awesomely sophisticated that they will make you swoon, but they are good enough for the job they are intended for.  As an example, using a delta wing for an aircraft that cruises at about the speed of a Cessna 172 is a counterintuitive choice. But they use it because it is very easy to manufacture, has very benign stall characteristics, and can contain a ton of fuel.  Basically, it's a pretty inefficient design, but they just load it up with fuel so it can still achieve long ranges.  And since they are only going against fixed targets, that's good enough.

1) Ok, noted. I suppose they aren't any longer.

2) They can't because countries will not let them.

3)  Noted

Thanks for the information, sincerely

I thought Russia was as equal as China and that is definitely not the case. Do you consider China a superpower?

I would say that China is currently a wildcard. They have technology; they've proven that much. Now, does it work 100% of the time, or even 75% of the time? Well... They're able to put assets into space that many other countries struggle to do, so they're doing something right. I don't think they're going to blink or make a move for a while. Why not sit back, relax, and watch everyone else play the fool? There's plenty of time to go after what you want, and that's when your opposition is stretched thin or in recovery mode. Improve current manufacturing and standards, stomp out corruption as best you can in your pseudo-capitalistic/socialist utopia. Hope your lower class doesn't collapse too much. I've seen some interesting things in that regard, population numbers, etc. As much as no one wants to admit it, we're in Cold War 2.0 right now with them, and I think it will stay that way for some time.

Trump at 8am EST on his SM!!! ....     Smilegrin

Quote:Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END! President DONALD J. TRUMP
