We only get 7% of our oil through there, it can stay closed forever it's not the reason gas in America is expensive they just saw an opportunity to rise the price and took it.
We are also the largest producer of helium so no need to argue about that either.

The "facts" don't bend to your confidence.
World War II didn't hinge on a single switch.
Japan was already defeated, its navy shattered, cities firebombed, and the Soviet Union had just invaded.
Claiming nukes alone ended it isn't "truth."
It's oversimplified, lazy thinking.
The nukes your nation chose to drop saved allied lives.
Because an invasion of mainland Japan would have cost 100,000s of those.
But the war was already over, and Japan was going nowhere...
Again, just the facts.

The reason gas is expensive in your nation is due to the knock-on effect.
And America's energy independence can't stop that from happening.
If in doubt, see your pumps...

The fact is the 2 bombs ended the war, Japan was not going to surrender. The war did not end due to their shattered navy or firebombed cities none of that mattered to the Emperor.

Over time even the straight closed the price will go down we'll have a surplus so large they'll have no choice but to cut the price it's just basic economics. We'll be better off in the long run.

Maybe you can, I don't care. I'm not suffering from it.

That's a confident myth, not a fact.
Japan was already seeking ways out of the war.
They were diplomatically probing surrender before August.
And even the Emperor cited multiple factors for thier surrender.
Pretending two bombs alone forced that is simplistic.
Again, the bombs stopped the Allies from having to invade.
They saved lives, but the war was already lost as any history book will clearly show you...

No it's a fact you wish to turn into myth. The bombs ended the war.

That's not basic economics.
It's wishful thinking.
Supply doesn't magically fix pricing without competition, regulation, or demand changes.
As to this being better off in the long run, for rich people, maybe.
But what about everyone else?
