Trump says he bombed Iran

I sympathize with the feeling but then think about the innocent populations who aren’t represented by the a-holes dropping the bombs/missiles.

I know I’m not represented by my government.

But i think American forces will wipe the ocean squeaky clean regarding the Iranian navy of today.

Same as they did last time around.

I'm not suggesting that will help matters all the same.

It's just kicking over more WW3 dominos if that does happen imho.

We can't see the future as to what the American forces can or can not do, but the from what I've read about the Iranian forces, they will mine (equipped with GPS capabilities) the Straight of Hormuz and they have a lot (I mean a lot) of speed boats equipped with guns and missile launchers, not to mention having other strategies. They seem prepared to me.

I know one thing for sure this is a great distraction for Israel to continue starving and/or pushing out Palestinians from their land into Sinai. Look over here, not over there. Follow the oil/gas money that Israel and the U.S. want in Gaza.

"Satellite images published Friday confirm construction is underway on what appears to be a large security enclosure in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula adjacent to Gaza, prompting suspicions that Egypt is preparing to receive an influx of Palestinian refugees from the Gaza Strip."

Mysterious Sinai Project Prompts Fears Among Palestinians

Money just does not talk, it shouts.

They say you can't bomb away the Intel and tech knowledge of nuclear science as it will always rise again.

And if you think it'll end with Gaza, just look at how many Jewish things are named "Mt Sinai So-And-So". Pushing an displaced and angry population there guarantees future "security problems", and Israel will have "no choice" but to move to secure the area and deal with the problem. For their own safety and right to exist, of course. The headlines from the 2030s are practically writing themselves.

From your article:  Lol

"quoted local contractors saying they had been hired to build a large, enclosed area with 7-meter-high (23-feet-high) walls."

They sent Nimitz because she was already deployed. Any other carrier would have had to surge deploy, which still would have meant a few days getting her ready, moving her air wing, and getting her underway.
So we have a fragile and tenuous ceasefire, let's see if it holds. However, it appears that the agreement has been made without a regime change component,

suggesting that if whoever is running Iran now stands down, it's copacetic

I can agree with that ....for now

Oh, they have the capability to disrupt or temporarily close the Strait of Hormuz, but doing so would carry huge military and economic risks.

The problem with the intel seems to be that if it's from Israel, they simply claim that Iran has moved the enriched uranium and technology.

And again, not a fan of Iran, but cooler heads need to prevail.

Not a fan of Iran either, but cooler heads needed to prevail before bombing Iran, IMO.
