The problem being the U.S. imports around 7 million barrels of crude oil per day.

And despite being a top oil producer, it imports that oil because its domestic refineries are designed for heavier crude, which is more common abroad.

Your oil is often lighter and better suited for export.

But importing also helps maintain supply diversity, economic relationships, and price stability.

In point of fact Canada is the largest source of U.S. oil imports.

So, probably best for Trump to play nice and stop going on about 51st state nonsense.

As to the conflict and the Middle East, we should all stay out of that.

Support is one thing, but actual involvement comes with all sorts of associated dilemmas.

This was a backstabbing show of force while the U.S. and Iran were negotiating terms, unapproved by Congress therefore unlawful therefore an act of war, and all Trump showed was that the U.S. can't be trusted.

This was a message for China, North Korea and any other nation that would aim to hurt the US. Stand Down. 

There is no evidence any other nation wants to hurt the U.S., why? because they have nukes well so do you, equal deterrents, except for Iran where is was proven by your own Intel that they gave up the the program of heading towards making nukes back in 2003. You are not seeing the truth of what your government's goals are...follow the potential for getting more wealth/power in the form of oil/gas and rare earth minerals on others' lands. Trump has failed in everything economically for the U.S. and the people, now he seems to have no choice but to create the ultimate distraction of war and/or create war for profit.

It's all about Israel's desire to take more land where rich resources lay, such as Gaza and the West Bank. If ICE got a backbone and searched for gangsters and terrorists where they operate freely in certain neighborhoods and areas then the worry could be lessened.

People that voted for Trump voted to stay out of foreign entanglements, and for American sovereignty and independence.  It seems like we are getting more of the same, and Trump 2.0 has been compromised somehow compared to Trump 1.0 , like I have said elsewhere.

We never even got evidence that they were close to a bomb. Our own intel community said three months ago that wasn't a concern.
