Trump says he bombed Iran

It looks more to me like this is just another distraction for Trump.

When this armada began moving towards Iran, it was because Trump was going to attack Iran if they used force against the protesters. 

Now here we are a couple weeks later, and the threat to attack Iran is the same, just for new reasons.

Alternatively, it is possible Trump forgot why he wanted to attack Iran in the first place. Kindof the equivalent of me walking into a room, but forgetting why I was there.

I think the timing is convenient… But I think a war there was going to happen with or without the US.

If you remember the first 12 day war, we only did defensive interceptions for Israel until we did the stealth bombing. The official narrative then was only we had the capabilities to drop the extremely heavy bunker busters to penetrate the underground bases. We claimed that all their nuclear sites were obliterated.

This time we started the rhetoric instead of Israel, starting the justification with protesters and moving to the older style justifications. Rubio said we have 30-40k troops in the region, and Iran might hit them, so we might need to do a preemptive strike. We also allegedly engaged them in diplomatic efforts, and reports are our demands were they give up nuclear, get rid of a lot of missiles, and only have missiles with a certain range going forward. I don’t see anything out of the demands about protesters, but that said they weren’t official.

Truth is this was part of the broader foreign policy of the neo cons on the left and the right since the early 2000’s. General Wesley Clark let us know decades ago. They’re one of the last countries on the list of objectives he gave for regime change.

Trump has proven that after campaigning is done, he’s willing to play ball for the deep state just like Bush, Obama and Biden. His donors are the same, foreign policy similar, he only differs on a few things in all reality.

I don't think it is as there's been a lot of UK airpower sent to bases surrounding Iran in recent weeks (doesn't appear to be a routine deployment but Zaphod may know different). It would be suprising if some kind of strike doesn't happen soon.

I don't think it is as there's been a lot of UK airpower sent to bases surrounding Iran in recent weeks (doesn't appear to be a routine deployment but Zaphod may know different). It would be suprising if some kind of strike doesn't happen soon.

Ahh I'd misinterpreted it, I agree with all the above.

More detail has emerged on the UK deployment of RAF 12 squadron has relocated from UK to Qatar at the request of Qatar to defend allies in the area but UK highly unlikely to be using Eurofighter in any first strike if the rumoured Israeli-US strikes on Iranian mad mullahs does go ahead if Iran keep massacring protestors).

Israel have a deafening silence on the issue (despite undeniable evidence they have a right to strike in defence, all allies have active deployments in the area and the Iranian regime is highly likely to topple if they do strike) which is very uncharecteristic of them so anything could happen.

EDIT: There's reports of a couple of explosions in Iran with several killed and dozens injured but the damage is minimal at best and highly unlikely to be due to any bombing when compared to damage drones and low yeild explosives/missiles cause. Iran announced a two day 'live fire naval exercise' near US warships a few hours earlier but seems a very hollow threat as Iran and China would be the most severely affected countries if any incident occured in the Straight of Hormuz.

I guess I’m confused at why this is a topic that has to be negotiated right now or war considering Trump said he obliterated all of their nuclear capabilities and fissile material. He said this in no uncertain terms and even ridiculed outlets who questioned it. He even reiterated this recently.
