Trump's 'big, beautiful' tax agenda scores major victory in House
#1
They've never seen anything like it.
Never Before!

The U.S. House finally passed its tax bill to keep the Trump cuts (that were never repealed btw), and add some new cuts!

The budget parts seem to actually enhance some areas that Democrats have been swearing up and down will be chopped! Maybe Democrats are setting up a "victory lap" of their own and will take credit when ®s don't chop, they'll say it was because Democrats forced them to not chop. Trouble is, ®s have been saying all along programs like Medicaid and Social Security will be enhanced, but what the Hell, The MSM will lie to make Democrats look like like Gold as always. Less people believing The MSM anyway.  Lol

Democrats all voted "NO" on this Bill. They want massive tax increases it seems!! (no surprise)

Quote:In a massive victory for President Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., the House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that will set the stage for a massive conservative policy overhaul.
The legislation passed mostly along party lines on Thursday morning after a long night of negotiations between House GOP leaders and fiscal hawks who were critical of its spending cut levels.
Just two Republicans voted against the legislation – Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Victoria Spartz, R-Ind. – which passed 216 to 214. No Democrats supported it, as expected. Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., held a press conference on Thursday morning in a bid to allay conservatives' concerns.

Well that sucks down in the 22 or 24% bracket because his tax plan really didn't do shit for the lower classes. More centered for capital gains. Some actually paid more than Obama under him.

With no further income tax relief i think costs will actually exceed the inflation under Biden. But will be ignored for its inconvenience.

Like the reciprocal tariffs on Cambodia, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. They literally supply 80% of the day to day stuff the lowest tax bracket buy, and if there's no more "abolishing of income tax under 150k" being floated, and we are extending his last tax plan, it really sucks for the single working mother (as an example).

Kids shoes go from.17.99 on sale to 29.99. Kids clothes and cheap toys follow a similar path. Basically the countries that supply Walmart keep their "EDLP" in place because the import tariff from their suppliers was 1 or 2%.

The upper brackets won't notice the increases 30 to 50% costs on important poor people stuff.

But the single mom that can only afford a Ford Focus will, especially when that goes up 25% minimum too. Either through vehicle import tariffs (made in Mexico) or the cost to shift production to the USA.

I can't see why the working class should applaud this.

Bold claims!

Where can readers find some substance?

Like some provable examples not opinionated from Democrats?

Didn't Ford announce they were going to build a $10,000 vehicle to compete with China's BYD model?

Make everything affordable again!

Well since the tariffs are insane now, China won't have a market in North America with their BYD model, so I guess they don't have to compete. So the sky's the limit with raising prices, I guess. Competition is needed to force manufacturers to think creatively to sell to the 99%. I would think that if they made more sales to the 99% they would make more money, but maybe my business sense has been fouled up somehow.

Nice truck, but do you need a storage/pick up box for doing stuff? If not, to me it's a waste of space and money.

It has multiple configurations it's cool as hell, standard pick-up, or boxed back, and it's not just tariffs

Quote:a big reason we don’t already get these cheap foreign-market trucks is because importing them from North America comes with the 25 percent “Chicken Tax” tariff. Add in the cost of stability control, lane-keeping, automatic emergency braking included in the Toyota Safety Sense suite that is nearly standard across the U.S. lineup and it’s easy to see the price ballooning into Ford Maverick territory. That’s for a truck that doesn’t even have map pockets in the doors.

Isn't that truck made in Texas? Why is Toyota not making those extras into standards like everyone else? Nickle and diming people to death, ugh.

It's my understanding that Toyota doesn't have those now accepted US Standards because it keeps the price low for other markets like Thailand and the rest of Asia which doesn't need those standard features.
