Trump is in talks with Russia to end the war
(02-21-2025, 11:34 AM)EXETER Wrote: An interesting article appeared in this morning's news feed that might shine some light on what Trump and Putin are up to:

"Former Intelligence Officer Claims KGB Recruited Trump"

"A former Soviet intelligence officer has alleged that Donald Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987 and given the codename “Krasnov.”
Alnur Mussayev, 71, a former Kazakh intelligence chief, made the explosive claim in a Facebook post on Thursday. He claimed that he served in the 6th Directorate of the KGB in Moscow, which was responsible for counter-intelligence support within the economy. One of its key objectives, he claimed, was “recruiting businessmen from capitalist countries.”

Mussayev wrote that in 1987 “our directorate recruited Donald Trump, a 40-year-old American businessman, under the pseudonym Krasnov.”

That would be "President Krasnov", now.

That's also been confirmed by Russian defector Yuri Shvets, Trump being an asset of the KGB/FSB. Shvets was partnered with Alexander Litvinenko who Putin had murdered with Polonium 210 after he defected to the west and wrote a tell-all about Putin's secrets.

Here's a thing. You don't recruit assets, you recruit agents. The difference between the two is that an agent knowingly and by his own decision works for the foreign intelligence agency whereas an asset is little more than a useful idiot whose high position combined with character weaknesses (emotional instability, greed, tendency to gossip etc) can be exploited to further the foreign agenda, usually without his knowledge.

If Trump was ever an asset, he's probably not aware of that. I don't really believe in his conscious cooperation with KGB. No intelligence agency recruits silly, impulsive and unruly people. That would put its officers and even the whole organization at risk.

That being said, no all Trump's activities serve Russia. I'm not sure if the minerals deal serves Ukraine well but, even if it doesn't, it won't be in the interest of Putin either, who would probably want all those resources for himself.

Oh I remember that. The weird Polonium thing, which was totally not a cover-up of Polonium stolen from the British Navy in a botched mule operation or something, but Putin being "brazen" and having someone murdered in a bizarre way, just to show he could. Boy, the press and government really jumped on board the "obvious conclusion".

Frankly, I think he might. Wouldn't put it past him. But in the almost-twenty years since then, I've become reeeeal suspicious of the way the British and American press jump to conclusions and blame Russia Russia Russia.

Quote:Renowned French security expert Paul Barril has let loose a bombshell: the existence of Operation Beluga, a covert Western intelligence scheme intended to undermine Russia and its leaders.

Barril exposed Operation Beluga in a recent interview with Swiss businessman Pascal Najadi on the 2006 Alexander Litvinenko death case. Litvinenko was a reputed former spy who many believe was murdered with radioactive polonium on orders of Vladimir Putin.

Here's what Najadi told me:

"According to Paul Barril, Litvinenko was himself working for the late Boris Berezovsky [a Russian fugitive oligarch that made London his home] who, according to Barril, was in turn working for and with the British intelligence service MI6. Barril said, 'Litvinenko has betrayed his employers, Berezovsky and the MI6, and has pocketed large sums of money, millions of US dollars, that were destined for agent provocateurs within the Berezovsky clan. The sole goal was to globally discredit Putin and the Russian Federation. This Western intelligence operation was directed from Washington DC and London. Its code name is Beluga.'"

Anyway its been years and years and I doubt there's any case to be made arguing it. Bit of a conspiracy-theory tidbit that I didn't really digest at the time, haha. One of those things that look less plausible in retrospect.

Just more yellow press. An asset is a tool, unwittingly, as in unconsciously.
Anything can be an asset. And can then thusly be smeared.
Biden was an asset to the Chinese, who used him to get their hands on real estate and state secrets in the USA.
Anyone can play this game, it's beyond silly.
It's an obvious symptom of the status quo freaking out again over Trump.
Call it , freakout version 2.0.
Doesn't take away that he is doing exactly what his voters wanted him to do. How often does that happen?

I am also enjoying my prediction coming true:
01-02-2025, 03:41 PM
I predict this year that the Ukraine conflict will end as far as the current hot war; as long as UK is not allowed to interfere again, a peace treaty will be signed, with Russia allowed to keep many Eastern provinces in Ukraine, and Ukraine allowed to join at least the EU.

We have the mineral deal so I wonder if EU will be more open to accepting them now since for whatever reason Ukraine wants to . Latest update is
Accession negotiations officially opened on 25 June 2024, at the same time as those with Moldova.[sup][13][/sup][sup][14][/sup] This signified another milestone in this country's ongoing efforts to align more closely with Western nations and diminish Russia's influence.[sup][15][/sup] If Ukraine becomes a member of the EU, it will be the fourth former Soviet country after EstoniaLatvia and Lithuania, which joined the EU in 2004.

Starmer seems a bit smitten by Trump... so does Macron, who is left in the EU's heavy hitters Olaf from Germany, Giorgia from Italy, and the other Donald from Poland.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to President Trump: "It's good to know that the United Kingdom has a true friend in the Oval Office."
His mind was not for rent to any god or government, always hopeful yet discontent. Knows changes aren't permanent, but change is ....

That can't be. Donald must be using Russian mind control technology.  As soon as they come within 2 metres of the Donald then their brains are forever washed. bzzt

Yeah, it's not like there's a pattern or anything.
