But it seems like enough of a difference.

Good point, for those who have not yet renounced America as irredeemable in its current form, immutable without collapse. Still thinking that 20 years from now no one will care or even remember Newsom or Trump or the whole crop of microplastic hairdo toothsmith suitfolk, but HEY, they will remember GTA6 and their fond childhood memories before they learned to worry and let the world crust them.... don't brush it off, it's the pinnacle of American culture, the #1 event of 2025, more important than the election last year or anything in the news right now. And I'm not sure I'll play it. But the only thing I really care about any more is people, and it will be important to them.
Quote:Title: A New Dawn for Los Santos: Rise from the Ashes
[Scene: A dimly lit rally in a rundown part of Los Santos, with flickering neon lights and a crowd that looks weary but hopeful. Franklin Clinton steps up to the podium, dressed in a rugged jacket, his expression serious but determined.]
Franklin Clinton:
Citizens of Los Santos,
Look around you. This city, once a beacon of hope and opportunity, has become a shadow of its former self. We stand here today not just as individuals, but as survivors in a world that has forgotten us. A world where the rich get richer, and the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves in the streets.
[The crowd murmurs in agreement, some nodding solemnly.]
I know what you’re thinking. “Franklin, what can you do? What can any of us do?” Well, let me tell you something: we can do a lot. We can rise from the ashes of this broken system. We can take back our city from the corrupt politicians and the corporate overlords who have turned Los Santos into their playground.
[Franklin leans in closer to the microphone, his voice low and intense.]
We live in a dystopia where crime runs rampant, where the police are more concerned with protecting their own interests than serving the people. We’ve seen the violence, the oppression, and the despair. But I’m here to tell you that we don’t have to accept this fate. We can fight back!
[The crowd begins to stir, a sense of urgency building.]
We need to dismantle the systems that keep us down. We need to challenge the status quo and demand accountability from those in power. No more empty promises! No more lies! It’s time for a revolution—a revolution of the people, by the people, for the people!
[Franklin raises his fist, his voice rising with passion.]
Imagine a Los Santos where every child has access to education, where every family has a roof over their heads, and where our streets are safe for everyone. We can create a city where the air is clean, the water is pure, and the opportunities are endless. But it won’t be easy. It will take all of us, united in our struggle.
[The crowd begins to chant, “Franklin! Franklin! Franklin!”]
We must stand together against the forces that seek to divide us. The corporations that exploit our labor, the politicians who sell us out for their own gain, and the systems that perpetuate inequality. We are not just victims; we are warriors! And together, we will reclaim our city!
[Franklin steps back, looking out over the crowd, his expression fierce.]
This is our moment. This is our time to rise. We will not be silenced. We will not be ignored. We will fight for a Los Santos that belongs to the people, not the powerful.
So I ask you, are you with me? Are you ready to take back our city?
[The crowd erupts in a roar of approval, fists raised high.]
Together, we will forge a new dawn for Los Santos—a dawn that shines bright with hope, justice, and equality for all.
Thank you! Let’s rise up and make history!
[Franklin raises his fist in solidarity as the crowd chants his name, a sense of determination filling the air.]

GTA is an addicting game. Sexist nerd programmers notwithstanding. (E.g. No say in body model type + terrible hairstyles and lame clothing and shoe options)
But its a fun game and hilarious. My character in a CIA (IIA) agent that has a weapons manufacturing bunker, an import/exports black market business, makes LSD with what I assume are Juggalos, has two high end apartments, a high roller penthouse, multiple warehouses, garages and a 200 foot yacht. And recently acquired an airstrip for more arms smuggling.
So just like the real CIA.
I don't know what it says that I've devoted 3 total weeks of gameplay to reach that high of level. And I really do suck at combat. Die repeatedly on supply missions. Too many buttons, like 5 at once sometimes. My processor is too slow. I need to be overclocked to beat those damn kids. So I play "invite only" alone to avoid dickheads in armored clown suits with flying motorcycles killing me and taking my shipments.
But GTA VI. Looking forward to writers from Scotland ripping Florida to shreads.
