Trump Announces Alaska Summit with Putin

okay, okay, i know, "go back to your van you hippie", but it was asked...
That would be a fantastic idea but unfortunately that time has passed.
As of now in my opinion blood is in the water. We strike legally and do so with vengeance. After 2026 those that supported this rhetoric will come to regret such activities.
But with that said, welcome arms are available if you seek them.

The best you can say of the whole fiasco is that Putin didn't take Alaska away with him when he left the sheetshow.

Trump and the USA are the laughing-stock of the world this weekend.

Slava Ukraine.

What kind of dogshit are you talking?

Did Biden get Putin to the negotiating table? Did he even try?

Would Putin have understood anything Biden mumbled if they got to the table?

If Harris was elected, do you think Putin would have listened to the word salads she would have served him?

Dumbest comment in a long time and I've seen some really dumb ones.

Of course I was.

Weren't you?

Do you have any concerns for the current president? Such as how his health might affect his ability to lead?

Great job at trying to conflate one situation with another. Please try to keep up brah, we are talking about the current administration not the past. But hey don't let me stop you from living in the past. Seems like a sad thing to do but if you like it then so be it.

You got it going on.

He's doing much better than anyone expected. Kyiv was supposed to fall in three days.. remember? Russia has senselessly lost a ridiculous amount of its young men to the war for what? Nothing.

Quote:It's a good start but without Ukrainian representation how they do they get to a mutual cease fire?  Putin is just going to lay down his demands which seems like capitulation to me??

Putin played Trump or should I say Trump is doing exactly what Putin demanded.

Trump said it had been "a great and very successful day in Alaska" after arriving back in Washington. After all, he gave Putin a round of applause for walking down a red carpet and then after listening to Putin's demands gave him a joy ride in 'Beast', but got absolutely nothing in return, say like a cease fire?
Trump had said before the summit on Friday that he wanted a ceasefire "rapidly", having threatened Russia with economic sanctions if one was not agreed. I must of missed that part during the press conference when Trump said to move forward Putin must agree to a cease fire??

Putin said that, in order to make a "settlement lasting and long-term, we need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict" in Ukraine. The root cause is the Ukrainian people defending their sovereign land form a foreign invading force, so in other words Putin wants Ukraine to capitulate because he believes Ukraine belongs to the USSR sorry I mean Russia!!

Trump is now Putin's lap dog and if any of Putin's demands aren't meet, Putin and now Trump can blame Ukraine and Europe for not folding, and agree to an terrorist invaders demands.

I don't have any concerns about his health.
Seems just fine.
It's his EGO that concerns me in regards to ability to lead.
Yeah .. all politicians have ego problems.  All of them.
But Trumps ego is stratospheric.
ppft i don't think any of them want to "end the war"
that's public narrative
t & p probably talking about how to protect mineral rights contracts 5 years from now
or some such bs
how to play things to pressure europe on energy
in whatever way their interests overlap
putin needs a close at hand enemy too you know
for domestic consumption
and gotta keep the american weapons pipeline lubed up
such a fun playground for ukusa milcovert shenanigans
and playing with drones
the death demographics aren't quite right yet
for ukraines inevitable postwar civil conflict
the city is probably still hashing out piecuts
so of course the war can't end

What else can you do? Lest I checked Ukraine switched from ejecting Russia to invading. And it worked in 2014 and no one cared then. So why not do it again?
