still worth it to keep trying, because if we don't, what does that say about us?
Oh, we need to keep trying, else people might start to ask "what's the point?"
As to real moral leadership, few and far between in this day of age imho.

Having no discussions is unproductive.
I think Putin is playing the world ... but you have to have discussions.
And at the same time, tangible pressure on Russia like sanctions, tariffs, armed Ukraine etc.
As for saying this is a distraction from Epstein ... I dont' think so.
I don't think anything can distract from that.
Regular street Democrats and regular street Republicans agree ... Release the files.
Nothing is going to distract from that.
I agree with the majority of the above.
Release the files indeed.

I hear a lot of Russia, Russia in Ukraine. but little of the NATO, NATO wrapped up in this mess.

It's in the open. And he obviously is getting treated for it.
He is clearly in stage 3 of the disease at the very least, it could be further along. He never offered the diagnosis to the public until people began questioning the obvious swelling.
My main concerns are with his age, the progression of the disease and the general state of his health, which can affect the continued progression of the disease.

Zelensky to meet with Trump on Monday following U.S.-Russia meeting
Quote:7:21 AM – Saturday, August 16, 2025
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he will be meeting with President Donald Trump following the U.S. president’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Saturday, Zelensky wrote a statement on X, announcing he will be meeting with Trump on Monday in Washington D.C.
Quote:“On Monday, I will meet with President Trump in Washington, D.C., to discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war. I am grateful for the invitation,” Zelensky wrote on X.
Zelensky stated that he had a “long and substantive conversation” with Trump after the Putin summit.
He also said that the conversation started one-on-one and then expanded into a bigger discussion with other European leaders, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The Ukrainian leader said Trump informed him of the key aspects of his discussion with Putin, and he strongly supports Trump’s idea for a trilateral conference between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States.

Heritage isn't a free pass to invade your neighbor.
If we start redrawing maps based on "who lived here centuries ago," the whole planet turns into a bloodbath.
And there goes your beloved USA as you know it.
Ukraine is fighting for survival, not a "land grab" like the Russians, it's their land that Russia stole.
And dragging NATO in as if it's the villain is lazy deflection.
NATO didn’t roll tanks into Crimea, Russia did.
NATO didn't flatten Mariupol, Russia did.
Blaming NATO is like blaming firefighters for showing up after someone torches your house.
The mess exists because Russia lit the fire, not because NATO brought the hoses.

I don't think those in power should put forward anyone over the age of 65 for the position of POTUS, given the nature of the job and the responsibilities that come with such power.

Now now, we are lucky here at Deny ignorance to have doctors who can diagnose level 3 maladies from thousands of miles away
though how it relates here in this thread is marginal back on topic

Zelenskyy Meets Trump for Peace Deal Discussions
Last updated
President Donald Trump, after a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, has announced plans for a direct peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, bypassing a ceasefire. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House on Monday to discuss these terms. This follows extensive phone conversations between Trump, Zelenskyy, and European leaders, who have also expressed interest in a comprehensive peace solution. Trump's approach includes possibly recognizing certain territories as Russian in exchange for a peace deal, which has sparked debate on its implications for Ukraine's sovereignty and international law.
