The helicopter of ancient Egypt

Our ubiquitous friend, AI, knows all about the nine bows:

a term in ancient Egypt for all enemies of the pharaoh, a symbolic concept rather than a literal number, used to represent Egypt's dominance over foreign lands and peoples. This symbol is frequently depicted in art, such as on statues where the pharaoh's feet rest on them, or on objects like Tutankhamun's footstool. The term originated from the bows and arrows used by these enemies and was used in religious texts to signify power and control over adversaries

And no, that's not a bird.  That's not how they're represented.  It's not how they spell 'flight' or 'flying.'

The word for portal was 'haayat' (https://ia601607.us.archive.org/0/items/...425.F3.pdf)

Exactly... Nine Bows was symbolic, not literal. It meant every threat to Egypt, seen or unseen. That’s why it seems to fits so well. If something came from the sky, outside the known world, it could fall under this category. Enemies from beyond are still enemies.

And the word you brought up... haayat literally meaning portal or opening? That actually ties together even better than anything. If this doorway was a haayat marked with  -Defender against the Nine Bow-  then it could be describing a gate... with shapes above it we still can’t cleanly define.

By the way… nice info in that PDF!
Interesting how they noted what passed through the portals... that part kind of stands out!  Shocked2

Put that together with what’s carved there…
and suddenly the  - defenders -  sound a lot less metaphorical, and a lot more like whoever stepped through that portal with... what looks like war machines, the Egyptians had no words for it.

However, one of your heroes, Robert Schoch, didn't.

Have a look at another section of the same lintel and explain these jumbled glyphs with your sci fi.

As for the bird... it’s right there in front of the rotor-shaped carving. You might see it as a glyph, I see it as the symbol of flight. Either way, it’s fitting.

I might point out from my research: )  the figure 9 isn’t inscribed here... The Nine Bows idea comes from similar doorway texts nearby, not from what’s actually visible in this photo.

Now that I think about it... You mentioned "Defender against the Nine Bows" is all over the temples...  That’s kind of the giveaway, isn’t it? The story wasn’t buried, or turned into someone’s fireplace... it is on the walls.

The defenders are literally written into the walls!

The defenders are from the future...  they were the ones who came through. Time-travelers, armed with aircraft, drones, armored machines. What the Egyptians saw, they carved. What we see now, we call coincidence.

So yeah... maybe Stargate is real.  Shocked2

The figure 9 is definitely shown in your photo, with the 9 lines under your helicopter. The bow is the upper part of your helicopter.
Your bird is part of Rameses II's nebty name. It is VERY well known and can be found all over Egypt, mainly because Rameses put it there.

So before I commit my attention to this, is this like "the rocket man" on the Mayan sarcophagus lid? Or something along those lines?

Because that one is actually Pakal The Great descending into the afterlife... Because back when people still killed things to make the sun rise the afterlife was still in the underworld.

It's been explained in the thread.

What a waste of electronic storage THAT thread was.

On the other hand, being able to read hieroglyphs (rather badly and mostly the formulas), I can see we have the "two ladies" and "given life, power" and "strong bull of his mother" (all pretty standard titles) in that palimpsest.

When they didn't have words for something, they made up a word.  Like German, where "Arbeiterunfallversicherungsgesetz " means “Worker Accident Insurance Act."

They weren't mentally incompetent.  They didn't write in emojis.  They could have, if they were brought here, rewrite this entire post in authentic Egyptian of any era (the language did change)

...and your idea of a stargate portal is not workable.  This is in the middle of a temple hall where people had to walk through in order to get to the interior chapels and so forth and there's nothing else about that doorway that's unusual.  You don't put a portal in the middle of a high traffic area... you'd send someone to fetch the sacred oils to anoint a statue and instead of getting the oils they end up on Mars and exhale themselves to death.

Nor is it similar to a city gate.  It's like any opening in your house (doorway to the hall, for instance), except that it's in the middle of a longish hallway.

Yeah religious and political propaganda

Seti I
Nebty name: Wehemmesut Sekhemkhepesh Derpedjetpesdjet
"He who renews the births, strong with a sword, who subjugates the nine bows."

Ramesses II
Nebty name: Mekkemet Wafkhasut
"Protector of Egypt, who curbs foreign lands."
I know a grand total of 23 hieroglyphs! Mostly I have to look them up. I was wondering when the above translation was made and whether it is still valid?
