On a serious note, perhaps there was no department for rope making because ropes would have been used for shipping and on the Nile and would be imported instead of made on site. Also, rope gets reused which could explain why little or none was found on site.

Thing is, they'd have to have special ropes made and made constantly because stone very heavy and is much harder on fiber than wood is.  Rope making was a specialized trade, and they do find traces of this industry on Giza...but mainly associated with the production of string, not rope. https://link.springer.com/referenceworke...ied%20rope.
