Tomb of Pharaoh Thutmose II discovered
#1
He was the husband (and half brother) of Hatshepsut and father of one of my favorite pharaohs, Thutmose III.  His mummified body, beautifully preserved, was found in a cache of mummies in a different location.  This tomb, which was discovered in 2022 but only identified as Thutmose's a few weeks ago, was badly damaged by floodwaters (probably the reason he was moved) after his burial.

The tomb is near Hatshepsut's temple ("Mansion of a Million Years" is the name of the temple.)

He was a fairly short-lived ruler.  A brief summary of his life is here: https://theconversation.com/its-the-bigg...-ii-250432
