The easiest way to eliminate a problem file is to break the chain of custody or modify it slightly. That way it becomes inadmissable as evidence. Then it can be hidden in plain sight.

Lots are sealed and the DOJ has some copies and they need to be careful what they publish.
And yes, you'll get plenty of sources soon enough as it all the fake crap goes public. 
Maurene is already spilling big beans to save herself too. Probably public with future indictments.
